A tiny lineup but if they are the best five they should play the most. Kelly Petro was mentioned as "in the starting lineup" but it could be referring to starting last year. As you said starters aren't overly significant. I hope Demski is healthy and Berger can contribute.

The good news is Northeastern' s lineup is not that much bigger: Currence G 5-8 Sr. Larsen F 6-1 So. Ntambue G 5-9 So. Calabrese F 6-0 Gr. May G 5-11 Sr

With basically our entire team coming back from last season, Munt must have had quite a training camp - very surprised to see a frosh crack the opening night starting lineup - it's a good sign I suppose

"Tiny" endorsed Mundt, right? She must be good.

Massey makes Northeastern a 7 point favorite over HCWBB (66-59) with a 71% chance for the win.

But he would be the first person to tell you that his rankings at this point are absolutely meaningless. He simply uses a weighted average of a team’s performance the last couple of years. Does not adjust for for players not returning this year, does not adjust for injuries, and does not adjust for the quality of newcomers. It is simply a starting point for the model.

Massey "actually" picked the game as 66-59 Northeastern. That 2 point prediction was in the preseason list of all HC games. If you use the match-up tool on Massey's site it gives a clearer picture, especially as they actually play some games. I agree about all early season ranking.

God must love guards, he made so many of them in mid major WBB. When Billy's program started to decline, I remember on more than a few occasions seeing recruits listed as "G/F" in high school, which I figured at the college level meant "G". Then, those young ladies got to HC and were "F" exclusively, which usually did not bode well.

Taking a guess that this Spanish U-16 National team member Claudia Soriano is pretty good for the Huskies.... nuhuskies.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/claudia-soriano/7106

Know how the women did in that scrimmage? "Played well against them" or words to that effect by Avery. Their performance showed the team they can play well in the PL also. Just noticed the game is at 6pm. Perhaps a courtesy to NU so they don't get stuck in rush hour bussing out and can leave Boston earlier in the afternoon.

We have a 5'7" guard, too, Avery. Let's see who scores more tonight. I'm less worried about a guard beating this team than a big.

They also have a four year letter winner from St. Bonaventure that is a grad student. nuhuskies.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/emily-calabrese/7005

No clue why.

DNP(at 7pm)-CD Whatever the coach wants is fine. It might prevent games from airing on Spectrum 1 however.
