Or maybe Mike Siani Stadium? The story is told that one year--must have been 1970--Siani caught 3 or 4 TD passes when Villanova beat HC and Siani later sent our cornerback a Christmas card thanking him. Not nic--if true

One looks ahead at his own peril. My expectation is Coach Chesney is keeping his guys away from this kind self-defeating speculation. Take it, one game at a time.

Hubris comes before the fall. Beware! HC must play this game with urgency. There is no given outcome. No doubt Coach Chesney, The Great is fully aware & he will get these guys ready for the game of their lives. You said that about Lafayette and we annihilated them. Just sayin'

Not nic--if true 34-14 loss in 1970, the 0-10-1 year after the hepatitis outbreak. Played them again in 1972 under Doherty, HC won, 26-9. Must have been '70. Same year HC fell victim to another Oakland Raidah alum, Colgate Raidah's Mark vanEeghen.

My understanding is that the coaching staff wants the team to focus on only one thing - LET'S GO UNDEFEATED THIS WEEK. I think that's a genius way of looking at the work that needs to be done. I heard Bill Belichick say something similar a few weeks ago. That was the second time I'd heard this approach, but the first time was from Ches. Is the great HCBB borrowing from our HCBC??

Amanda B gave BC BB's personal cell number, so BC now calls him periodically to offer advice.

I can't speak about Amanda but as for her father, he is arguably a great coach (those arguing against are in Cleveland) but as far as being a personable guy who's warm and fuzzy who you'd just like to play and root for? Look elsewhere. As far as I can tell, that's 180 degrees different from Bob Chesney who somehow can be a great coach and still be likeable.

Re: parking on the baseball field. Temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday night in Worcester are forecast to be in the low 20s. Which is a hard freeze. Chance of showers on Friday with another hard freeze Friday night. Might put the kibosh on parking (and tailgating), particularly as it's getting late in the year to repair any damage to the field before spring.

. . . . . and that's why some people pay to park in the garage (moi!)

The extra parking up top due to the BB reschedule should help. Preserve the baseball field, which ironically has lights and chair backs.

Anyone know if we will have PL referees for this game or if they schedule refs from outside the two respective conferences (NEC and PL)? I believe in FBS, they would do the latter, meaning we would be likely to see some CAA or Big South officiating (or ACC or something weird).

A rare modest man. Some people in Nick Smith's position would insist on being titled as Interim Athletic Director instead of using this title which is the relevant one for this external relations outreach.

Thought it might be interesting to go through our early season 2-deep/personnel as we head into the postseason. Always interesting to reflect on how healthy a team is by the end of the season. Every team is banged up to some extent and how your early season reserves step up late in the season really matters. DEPTH IS CRUCIAL! Feel free to comment. QB - both Healthy RB - Purdy sprained MCL (doubtful for Saturday) WR - Gilliam out for season TE - Morris ankle sprain v Fordham (status for Saturday unclear) OL - Pat McMutrie (lower body injury v Fordham (status unclear), Nick Olsofka (out for season), #2 RG Dalton Daddona (out), #2 OG Eric Schon (came out late in Bucknell game but not serious..likely to play) DE - All 2 deep healthy DT - Noah Johnson (out for season), Jared Dyer (out for season), Dillion Springer (injured @ Bucknell and out). Modak and Cedeno will have to carry all the load. Fr. Damon Donalds looks to be next man LB - All healthy DB - Grant Holloman (status unclear but likely out…hope I’m wrong), Terrence Spence (out for season) Malik Scott out for 1st half per targeting in Bucknell game This is NOT encouraging.... Both lines are beat up😕
