Lincoln Riley USC contract terms. What a country! What's USC going to do with the two houses in Norman? Sell them at a loss?

Big egos like big money. I'm sure they understand the big expectations that come with it: win now, win always, win big, win national championship.

Anyone see the Delaware job opened up? When Rocco accepted that position in 2016 it was reported his total package was about 425k.
Same guy that took them to the National Semi Finals in the Spring. Quite high expectations at Delaware. They've recruited well recently too.

If he had any issues with the pressure to win at ND, just wait until the LSU alums descend on him in the coming weeks/months. He better plan on multiple national titles in the course of his time there.

Brian Kelly to LSU. TBT I had been dreading Kelly would retire and leave the ND coaching position open. Let's be honest. If great ND football called, is there any way our great coach, Chesney could refuse?

Ches, or any highly successful FCS coach, will not be offered the ND job. The days of Digger Phelps are long gone, and that was hoops, not the ND god of football

Brian Polian - ND special teams - allegedly Lafayette's target.

Brian Polian - ND special teams - allegedly Lafayette's target. I would have guessed that a Notre Dame assistant--even the special teams guy--made more than the Lafayette head coach. Here's what USA Today reported for assistant coaches pay at Alabama--different school than Notre Dame and special teams job then unfilled OC Bill O’Brien: $1,100,000 DC Pete Golding: $1,500,000 OL coach Doug Marrone: $755,000 DL coach Freddie Roach: $720,000 WR coach Holmon Wiggins: $575,000 DB coach Charles Kelly: $825,000 LB coach Sal Suneri: $695,000 DB coach Jay Valai: $525,000 RB coach Robert Gillespie: $535,000

Just heard ND AD Jack Swarbrick respond to a question about the crazy escalation of power 5 head football coaches' salaries - he had a very good answer (and I'm paraphrasing) 'we must have a wide discussion about how this trend fits into the mission of educational institutions' - i.e., he's concerned and for good reason.

I guarantee you that Alabama fans are right now talking about how important it is that Nick Saban get a raise so that he will be paid more than Kelly

It's hard to imagine a football coach leaving Notre Dame for any other school. Just a sign of what coaches are being paid in the P5 to walk away. Plenty of pressure to win at Notre Dame. Lots of old alums who think they should be winning championships at the same pace they did in the 40's. Plus they have the best TV contract in the sport, although I'm not sure if NBC will jump on that one again when the current deal expires
