They keep a glass at zero humidity and ask the recruit to breathe on it. Any condensation and he's in.

but bc doesn't use an AI, right? BC doesn't use the AI. The AI baseline is the average of the AI scores for all entering freshmen in the previous year's entering class. And under the AI, the average AI scores for all recruited athletes must be within one standard deviation of the school-wide AI. Boston Univ. had over 80,000 applications for the class of 2026, and suffice to say, the AI baseline for BU will almost certainly edge up because it will become more selective, given the sheer number of applications.

I think SUNY Binghamton falls in the "high academic" category, but I get your point.

Academics aside, this is the type of player I've been talking about - long, athletic, versatile.

I think SUNY Binghamton falls in the "high academic" category, but I get your point. Google Tiki Mayben and make a conclusion as to whether he'd have been recruited by Holy Cross. "Binghamton University basketball scandal" even has its own wikipedia page.

According to Delgreco Wilson who runs the Black Cager website, Team Final, a prestigious AAU program, says it will ban programs who run off a player from recruiting their kids. How they determine a coach ran off a player, (I assume they are talking about one of their kids), and how they prevent that coach from recruiting their players, remains to be seen. I suppose they could try to convince their kids not to talk to the program. delgrecowilson.com/

Where is this team located ? Based on reading additional stories on the web site, it appears to be in the Philadelphia area.

Lehigh's Nic Lynch 6'11" 250 lb. sr. in the portal - he should get a good opportunity at a higher level for the grad transfer year

A question for alumni in the know.......
Have the powers of the Holy Cross explored the possibility of expanding the offerings to graduate level degrees?

So HC is smart to keep applications low? I went to this site: toptieradmissions.com/resources/college-calculator/And i gave myself a a 1225 SAT score (V/M) and an unweighted GPA of 3.2, which gave me an AI score of 189, which probably is within the one standard deviation of HC's school-wide AI score. (A 189 is probably close to 2.5 standard deviations from the school-wide AI for HYP..) So a recruit with a 189 score could readily be admitted to HC. Those are illustrative scores, not my real scores, and they recalibrated the SAT scores several decades ago. From the WSJ

Rougeau has set a goal of getting HC ranked in the Top 25 of National Liberal Arts Colleges, and to achieve that, HC needs to be more selective, not less.

Once someone chooses to bail on HC, I lose any interest in them or their "career." I do wish former Crusaders well, but this does make his departure look like it was a good idea for Holy Cross.

Ryan Wade in the portal again. Next stop, D3. Wow. Like classmate Pridgen, if he goes to D-I, he will have to sit a year. In this day and age that makes him less attractive to potential suitors since most other portal people can play next year. I can't imagine walking away from a free education to go D-III. Maybe find a home in D-II

I had wished Ryan stayed at HC; I really liked his parents. Unfortunately his game never seemed to be a good fit for the CBN style. I also thought he was going over his head transferring to a MAC school; in retrospect waiting so long to transfer probably cut down on his options quite a bit. Probably would have been better off at a Horizon League type of school.
Portal giveth.....and can taketh away.
