The way Nelson uses Louth I think he feels he may have a stamina problem.

Holy Cross shot 59% from the floor - best performance of the season.
Held BU to 41%, after keeping Lehigh under 40%.

Our biggest weakness was the 12 turnovers, especially down the stretch.

We had two fouls to give. A loose ball foul on a missed free throw would be inconsequential. Dimarz, getting an offensive rebound on a missed free throw is definitely not close to a 0% chance. At least Nelson isn’t like Jim Crews during the rest of the game. Loose ball foul would stop the clock and allow BU to throw the ball long on the inbounds play if they choose...RUN THE CLOCK...... How many missed free throws this season did the shooting team get? I can think of one....... A lot of these decisions are made in pre-season and the team practices these situations....The head coach puts it together, and every coach picks what he is most comfortable with....BN did the same thing in the Lehigh win.... and he will do the same thing the rest of the season... My educated opinion only..

Most importantly Nelson’s agent, BBC, returns with a win to tell us what we have endured during the Nelson experience is now behind us and it is wine and roses moving forward.
If true sign me up, but my confirmation name is Thomas and I stil need to see more

No offense, but you'd have to be an idiot to think Brett Nelson should not be back for Year 4 given what he inherited and has had to deal with at HC. This team took a few second half haymakers from one of the most experienced teams in the country, got back up, and hit them right back even harder. Would anyone have thought this was the 323rd most experienced team in the country (on the road) going up against #33 tonight? If we can keep this core intact and continue to develop (both players and coaches), HCBN has this program in a position to bring HC to a place that we haven't been in 13 years. Go Cross Go!!! Unbelievable

Nice win....but let's continue to see where we go from here. Team seems to be pretty athletic but I'm still skeptical on our overall perimeter shooting and our offensive flow in general. D is spotty but tonight our athleticism (11 blocks) saved the day.
Long story short, I'm still not sure what HCBN wants this team to be....i.e. what are the core things he wants his teams to have/show moving forward?

Didn’t see the game and didn’t even remember we were playing until I saw the score online. Nonetheless, seemingly a great effort by all concerned. Hopefully we are starting to figure it out.

Took a very strong performance and protecting the rim better than we have this season In the Lehigh game, they got way too many easy baskets on simple cuts (as has happened too much this season) and we got almost none. Glad to hear we took away some of the easy ones tonight.

Feel silly saying this, but I always have a little more giddyup in my Festus knee aching hobble after a big HC win. Really happy for the guys and coaches.
Really makes a difference when multiple guys are attacking the rim hard. Not only are they getting baskets at the rim, but the 3's they take later seem to be taken from a position of strength, rather than desperation. As DiMarz has said offen, aggressiveness is the key with this group.
3-3 in PL play after the 0-2 start.
Was impressed with the D on Mathon. Yes, he got 14 and 10, but he had been absolutely killing guys. Last night, it seemed many times they pushed him just a little bit away from his comfort areas. Team effort - even Rabs stopped Mathon at the rim in the first half.
Sure, GG was not dominant, and the team did well when he was on the bench. But he showed maturity by not forcing things (4/1 Assist/TOs), and the opponent has to spend a lot of time worrying about him. Worked out great last night.
Maybe having all the games stuffed into February will turn out to be a blessing in disguise? Up to CBN to work it out, but even without using AL he has 10 guys he can go to. I wouldn't think fatigue would be a big issue. Less game prep? Sure, but the other teams will be in the same boat.
Hope they can build on this!

Easily the most impressive effort of the season. Definitely an inspired effort, which is a good sign. I didn't watch the American game but looked like the total opposite of what was described there. I hope last night was a building block and not an anomaly.
Looked like an energetic HC crowd was in Boston last night to support the team. Whenever we get back to where we need to be as a program, we should TAKE OVER that arena.
Hope to see some of you at West Point on Saturday!

When I looked at the stats, the thing that jumped off the screen was the 17 assists. Very impressive. Luc’s stat line was also very impressive.

If I'm correct there were times when BU had two graduate students and two seniors on the floor (I forget who the 5th guy was), and HC had all freshmen and sophomores (times when GG was out). HC was the more athletic team, and was matching BU in physicality. Pretty encouraging stuff, but we'll see.

I had the same thought and have come to the conclusion that this "experience" thing is overrated. Discuss . . . . .

I'll admit to being a total idiot after the results of the next three games with Army, Colgate, and Loyola are in. OK?
But.....you have to agree to not disappear if things go south after last night.
It seems to me that "when the going gets tough, bringbackcaro opts for radio silence".
Fair?

Really interesting that Kenney has only been playing organized ball since he was 14; to me his defensive play is much more instinctive. And he's not just getting missed free throw type of rebounds; he's elevating, putting his body on the line and securing the ball in heavy traffic (while sometimes getting bounced to the floor). Hope he keeps it up.
