Maine has lost 20+ games in every full season since 2012-13, under three different coaches. They've had one winning season since John Giannini won 20 forever ago, then skedaddled to LaSalle. Baron was the women's coach before taking the men's job.
IIRC, the Black Bears are one of a few teams that have never been to NCAA Tournament.

With one regular season game remaining how many PL jobs will be open by the Final Four?
Guessing of course, but one is known, and another two possible and three others are a stretch, but wouldn’t be a shock
In other words the sidelines might look significantly different in 22-23
Thoughts?

With Hartford downgrading to D3, I would like to see Coach John Gallagher become an assistant or part of the HC program as a coaching consultant. I really like his court side demeanor and enthusiasm.
Tonight after a close lost to UMBC at home, he conducted a very nice and complimentary post game interview. It is available on ESPN+

The known one is Fran O’Hanlon, of course. Next in line are Mike Brennan and Nathan Davis, followed possibly by Brett Nelson although I think he will definitely be back. After that, I don’t think any others have any chance whatsoever of being fired.

Tonight after a close lost to UMBC at home, he conducted a very nice and complimentary post game interview. It is available on ESPN+ Gallagher has been a good coach in a very difficult position, and he should land on his feet. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get another D1 coaching job or else an assistant job at a much higher level than the patriot league. He is still only 44 years old and was an assistant at LaSalle, Lafayette, and Penn prior to getting his head-coaching job. He has been head coach there for over a decade. Was coached by Phil Martelli during his playing days.

It is a long shot but Langel could get a new opportunity, and Hardy, with a strong tournament, is rumored to be on the move??

Especially Langel, who could have his pick of a lot of jobs, but he’s not interested in something that he doesn’t consider a good fit. I was only thinking of coaches with a chance to be fired, which means Mike Brennan and Nathan Davis.

How many lives does Ryan Bamford have at UMass?
Is winning the hockey championship buying him a few more years?

If Nelson sticks around next season, I wonder if McCall joins his buddy on the hill. Not sure if its plausible from a $$$ sense, but the personal connection is there.

Look for fellow A-10 member URI to also make a change in the next 10-14 days as well. The David Cox era in Kingston is about to end after four seasons. He has just one year after this season remaining on his contract and his buyout is not all that large. He would just be due his one year base, which is less than 50% of his total annual compensation package.

Does Slick Rick come back to his alma mater? If he leaves Iona, it will be for a school which has national championships possibilities..
