LS, you say ‘Kit was not handed an empty cupboard’ other than football and Women’s bball, what exactly are you referring to ?

You list two championship teams and seem to then dismiss them. Don't two PL championship teams show that the cupboard is not bare? IMHO they do.

LS, you say ‘Kit was not handed an empty cupboard’ other than football and Women’s bball, what exactly are you referring to ? I hear you. Many shelves in the cupboard are bare. But I reviewed the standings of the different sports on the PL website, and while they don't list who is the actual champion of each sport, I don't believe any of the other nine schools have more than the two championships so far this year that HC has. I'm counting the regular season championship in WBB because you actually win something - an assured auto bid to the WNIT, so BB really has two championships of value, regular season and tournament. FADMB was handed less.

Navy has at least six championships so far. As for overall results, holy cross is no better than seventh in the Presidents cup standings thus far.

Are you able to find a listing of each sports league champion for this academic year beginning in September on the PL website? I could only find the standings for each sport which didn't list a champion after tiebreakers, etc. Also if HC is seventh out of ten, the cupboard is less bare because back when there were eight teams, Holy Cross was often eighth weren't we? I remember the Worcester Telegram Sports section would print the rankings for that and the Worcester Colleges overall won loss rankings and it wasn't pleasant reading as HC was usually last or next to last. Thank You. Loved your 23 point State of the (Bucknell Athletics) Union Address on the Bucknell board.

The six sports that I know Navy won are men’s cross country, women’s cross country, men swimming, women’s swimming, men’s indoor track, and women’s indoor track. There could be others. It is easy to find the champion by going to the Patriot League site and then clicking on an individual sport. Once on that page, click on the drop-down that says championship, or else simply find the news article about the championship meet.

Even in a league that is about as close as we can get to a grouping of regional D-1 peer institutions, there are wide imbalances across the spectrum of league sports. Still a privilege to compete against two Service Academies. The Army West Point AD should be hearing footsteps after this level domination by Navy so far this year.

Good news - HC controlling the boards, bad news, keep turning the ball over - HC 13-11 after one.

Navy pressure bothering us. Would like to see more offensive looks inside.
Tough first quarter for McCormack

Coleman is a very good player.
Navy is an awful offensive team.

Demski might be playing herself into a grad transfer offer. If so, well deserved. She should have two years of eligibility left.

19-17. Just as good as if both teams couldn't miss and it was 39-37.
