Her sophmore stats were a bit better where she started 12 games. Whether she helps immediately is TBD, but size never hurts I got tripped up by the sun dial pace of PL websites. Her sophomore season has been completed but they still only have freshman results in her profile narrative so I thought she was a freshman. So she will be battling Meg Cahalan as a senior. Hard to say who will perform better then. Hopefully Meg is working hard to pick up a chunk of Janelle Allen's minutes.

Congratulations Caitlin. Make a splash and get drafted. It will be fun to compare Weimar's stats with BPC's next year. I wonder if Bronagh will have any involvement with Ireland's national team's quest to get to the Olympics. I'm not sure how countries qualify for the Olympics and if Ireland has any realistic shot of making the games in WBB. I think if she wanted to play for the Irish National Team for a year she could use her remaining Covid season of NCAA eligibility in the 2025-6 season if she chose.

Where is coach M ?? Our 24-25 roster shows 11 schollie players and one walkon (Griffin) from a team losing 4 starters - Absolutely disappointing with the silence - Let's hope they're working quietly behind the scenes to grab an impact player from the portal. The momentum from the fantastic finish to the 23-24 season will dissipate quickly if we don't take advantage of it NOW Assuredly the entire staff is working the portal and also considering any HS seniors that might be in situations like Avery was with Canisius. Transfers in that couldn't contribute much like Wilbar and Tse on the men's side remind us that sometimes discretion is the better part of Valor. If BPC and Cara are still negotiating the portal it stands to reason that players like them with the talent to win a PL championship are still negotiating it also.

The final qualifying tournament for the Olympics was held several months ago. Ireland, which is very weak in women's basketball, wasn't in it. In fact, with a world ranking of 81 they had been eliminated almost a year ago.

Can a player who played four straight years take a gap year in 2024-25 and use their Covid season of eligibility in 2025-26 if they choose?

Princeton's Kaitlyn Chen to UConn and Bryant's Mariona Planes Fortuny to Maine. Ms. Fortuny is a grad transfer, 6'3", 16.3 scoring average on 48.7% fg shooting. She will have to drive right through Worcester to move to Orono. Since HC can't offer her graduate courses, I'm happy for Jeff and the Black Bears. That's a great one year investment. No reason why she can't have her best year ever.

Princeton's Kaitlyn Chen to UConn and Bryant's Mariona Planes Fortuny to Maine. Chen is a perfect replacement for Muhl with better offensive talent but a downgrade on defense. I am interested in Mitchell from Princeton and who gets her. She was the heart and soul of that Princeton team who did the dirty work.

Ireland WBB has never appeared in the three major international tournaments (Olympics, Eurobasket or FIBA World Cup). I don't see a single appearance by BPC on the senior national team which had a player from DeSales on their recent Eurobasket 2025 qualifiers.

Princeton's Kaitlyn Chen to UConn and Bryant's Mariona Planes Fortuny to Maine. UConn backcourt very crowded if everyone is healthy next year. Paige, Azzi, Chen, KK Arnold, Ashlynn Shade, and incoming McDonald’s All American recruits in Allie Ziebell and Morgan Cheli. They could really use a dominant frontcourt player like Beers from Oregon Stare but she’s dragging her feet deciding between UConn and Oklahoma.

HC could use another big, but can still contend in the PL if we can't land one. BN brought in bigs to MBB whether they could play or not, that's not the ticket.

On the women's side, you almost have no guarantee when signing a big at our level. Often just as many misses as hits. If they can find a big in the portal or an unsigned HS 24, it is worth the risk as much for the following year this upcoming season. Frequently need a year to adjust to D1

It's amazing we had a player who was both big and agile and who also was ready to contribute from game one in Lauren Manis and didn't play in any post season tourneys (we will never know about how the PLT would have ended in the Covid year of 2020) and now under Magarity have gone to the national post season three years in a row.
So, good point about seasoning needed for bugger players, but it seems the PL is a league where the best athletes and best coaching can beat the tallest rosters. I'm positive about Berger and Cahalan. Another player like them would be fine.

The only difference between her role and that of the two guard was due to her being a taller player with an ability to put the ball to the floor. She guarded the SF defensively because she was much taller than the other two UConn guards And a far better rebounder.

Holy Cross WBB doesn't have a penny of NIL to offer but they are the championship program on campus. If Coach Magarity doesn't land a key player in the portal, she really can't be blamed.

However, some players do have NILs, I believe that Donnelly has one with Epsilon for example. They are just modest ones.

Without a collective, this must have been generated directly by Donnelly or her family I assume. And without a collective Coach still doesn't have a penny to offer, or did the recent modification of the NIL rules allow coaches to become like brokers between sponsors and players/recruits/transfers? The whole thing is confusing.
