I think maybe a few fans were motivated by seeing a visiting team with the second best quarterback in the conference, but the Crusaders were the real draw. Zach Wilson and Bailey Zappe would be holding clipboards on the sideline this year if they were at either Fordham or HC.

Maybe, but that was for a championship and a guaranteed NCAA bid, maybe high seed. Who has heard of him outside this northeast area.? I just do not see the NCAA giving Fordham a bid for DeMorat’s “star power.”They won't, nor should they. I think the committee will once again do a great job and ensure the most qualified teams are represented. It's a tougher bubble than most years in the 24-team era so Fordham may need some help. Part of that is the possibility the CAA could send as many as 5 teams and the poorly-ranked PL sending two would be highly unusual. Tough year for Fordham to have a good team and a weak schedule.

CAA prognostication is pretty simple:
W&M - IN (seeded w a win over Richmond today)
Richmond - IN (seeded w a win today)
Elon - IN (season done)
Delaware - IN with a win today, likely OUT w a loss to Villanova
UNH - IN with a win today, OUT w a loss to Maine
URI - Would need major help if they beat Albany today to get to 7-4

Nova beats Delaware.
UNH won in OT over Maine.
Montana State easily over Montana.
Yale are Ivy champs, as Princeton lost to Penn.

They cancelled their bonfire ☹️ last weekend after losing to Yale by 4 at Yale and now this one-pointer to Penn. Nova may have killed their football rival’s playoff dreams. But that might help Fordham👍

Fordham had a really good day, beyond beating Colgate.
Four bubble teams lost: Montana, Delaware, Mercer, and Chattanooga.

I think Fordham is in UNLESS BOTH of the following happen: Cal Davis upsets Sac State (currently 17-13 Sac State up mid way thru 3rd) AND UT Martin wins the OVC AQ on a COIN FLIP. If they do, OVC will get 2 teams in as SEMO is definitely an at large team but UT Martin would steal a spot. Once we know those 2 outcomes I will give the the seeds and 1st round match ups a shot.

Holy Cross is a seed 5-7 Fordham is in They place them in our bracket for a potential quarterfinal game
If we can't stop the pass....we will need to dig very deep

I don’t want to play Fordham - unless it’s in Frisco.

SEMO wins the flip and auto-bid. Fordham is probably safe. 7-4 URI competing with Mercer, Chattanooga, Montana, Idaho, Youngstown St., UND, NC A&T, all 7-4. Feel like Mercer, Idaho, and Youngstown have decent shots

While our greatest offensive asset might be in the passing game, we are forced to use the clock to protect our lack of defensive pressure and coverage against the pass. If we could fix the D it would be hard to hold us back from Frisco
That said this is a year where 24 teams can make a good case for moving forward

So here’s what I got: Getting it out there before Herder, Haley, BMac etc. Top 8 seeds: 1) Sac State 2) SDSU 3) Montana St 4) NDSU 5) Samford 6) William and Mary 7) HC 8) Incarnate Word - HC and UIW go either way 7/8.
First round games: Saint Francis v. UNH Fordham v URI (both last 3 in) Davidson v Furman Gardner Webb v Elon Chattanooga (last 3 in) v Southeast Missouri St. Idaho v UND SE Louisiana v Weber St. Eastern Kentucky v Richmond
First out/Bubbles Burst 1) Mercer 2) Montana 3) Delaware 4) Youngstown St 5) FAMU 6) Austin Peay *UNI and UC Davis both 6-5 would have been in at 7-4. Brutal schedules and two very good teams.
HC plays either SFU, UNH, URI or Fordham.

Herder’s bracket is out. He has 23 of the 24 teams I had (has URI out and UC Davis in at 6-5) Has Weber St. as the 7 seed and HC as the 8 although he said it’s possible UIW could bump HC for the 8 seed.

If we had a "haha" button instead of a thumbs-up like I would hit that. UIW and Weber have wins against DII schools. Weber had 2 loses. At least UIW beat the stuffing out of most everyone they played. UIW and W&M have SoS in the 50s, not much better than HC. Weber admittedly has a great SoS.

Obviously the higher the seed the better as all seeds host in round 2, top 4 in the quarters, and so on. That being said, there are a couple of "regions" I don't want to be paired up with. Here is my desired list of quarterfinal opponents (3rd round after our home game). Naturally, an upset of a seeded team could get us a home game in the quarters also. 1. William and Mary 2. Weber St. 3. Incarnate Word 4. Samford 5. Sacramento State 6. North Dakota State 7. Montana State 8. SDSU
And...here are my projected seeds. 1. Sacramento State 2. South Dakota State 3. Montana State 4. Samford 5. Holy Cross 6. NDSU 7. William and Mary 8. Weber State
