That's a solid upset. Colgate at home, kinda surprised.

UConn dressed 10 players for each of the three Big East tourney games and blew out all three opponents. Should be an interesting NCAA women’s tourney.
The final score where they only beat #10 Villanova by 11 in the final is misleading as UConn was up by 20+ for most of the second half and Nova scored some buckets in garbage time while UConn stopped scoring as they were more focused on killing clock.

Fudd makes a big difference in that team

Fudd makes a big difference in that team True. Hasn’t stuffed the stat sheet yet but another player the defense has to account for on the perimeter. For much of the season, they only had one really good shooter (Lopez-Senechal) and teams were able to make it very difficult for her to get open looks. With Fudd back, all of that changes. Last night, Fudd didn’t have a field goal in the first half and then hit three 3s in fairly short order in the second half. If she’s gets back to scoring 20+ per game, UConn will be a very tough out.

UConn has trouble when their bigs get countered by opposing quality bigs. And if their bigs or even guards get in foul trouble, they have little depth

In the Ivy semis Princeton beat Penn and Harvard upset Columbia in OT 72-65 - Ivy might be a two bid league if the Crimson win again tmro - if Columbia had won it most definitely would have been good enough for 2 spots

Arguably Vermont's best win was their big one at HC, well they carried a lot of momentum into the 2nd half of the season - they're in the Big Dance with their 17th straight win, last night over Albany in the AM East final

I suspect the reference would be to the "clear path foul " . The offensive player loose on a breakaway with no defensive players between the ball controller and the basket . Chased and fouled from behind before or while enterring the act of shooting. Two foul shots and retention of ball control. The ref signals the foul with his arms crossed in an overhead X .

Harvard rocking a nine point lead at the half 32-23 over Princeton. Stoic Carla Berube looking as disappointed as she allows herself to look on the sidelines. I don't know if this is a defensive battle as both teams are missing shots.

Carla Berube is a very good coach. She can win pretty or ugly. It is like hiring a lower level coach to lead your program is such a bad idea.....

URI was 24-6/14-2 and didn't make the NCAA tournament. I thought the A-10 was supposed to give a team a better chance to go dancing over the one bid PL.

These higher level leagues (A-10 basketball, CAA FB) are starting to come back down to earth. The humble old PL keeps launching Holy Cross teams into NCAA tournaments. The humble AHA may join the launch parties this weekend.
Eat your heart out UMass and URI.

Well, the BU - URI game is a bit ugly, as BU matches HC's total in the 1st qtr, but URI not so much as Maryland URI 11-4 after 1
