Robsock offered by Maryland today post camp. Several kids will get offers after showing out at summer camps in June. Some in July. Maryland and Pitt are two teams that often make early offers that might not be sticky but this recent one might be tighter.

NJ, there are definitely several FBS schools that seem to offer more “non-committable” offers compared to others. Like you said, usually those offers come very early in the recruiting cycle. All you can really do is watch the player’s film and try to assess if they have legit G5 or even P5 FBS skills and measurables. Harry and I try our best but it’s more art than science.
But to give you a sense right now, there are probably 6-10 players in the first 74 offers that we think are unquestionable FBS talents and that most if not all of their FBS offers are committable.
* Clearly there are some FBS programs that we can go toe to toe with in the recruiting cycle and win (MAC, UMASS, etc) so we are referring to the top 2/3 of G5 FBS programs that would still be tougher and rare for us to beat a legit offer.

A bunch of players will be making their way onto campus who have been offered over June and July. Midwest and I will keep track and come up with a target list as we get further into the summer.
Last year the first commit (Robinson) was on 6/22. I honestly have no clue at this point whether they will have a few commits before July 4th this year. Hopefully get a little clearer picture over the next few weeks.

And Baker and Ackerman before those 5. Right now 7 of the 76 offers (that we know of) are verbally committed. 6 of the 7 went to FBS with Singleton the only FCS (Delaware)

Maryland coaches clearly have good taste. Now I am hoping we soon see more names on the Purple side of the ledger.

Ever the optimist, I am concluding that he is really interested in HC or he would not have visited twice. What are his other offers?

Ever the optimist, I am concluding that he is really interested in HC or he would not have visited twice. What are his other offers? Quick look says all the ivies and pl schools plus army and navy. His recruiting level reminds me of Burton in the last class, who somehow picked Hampton as his destination.

Looks like 17 total currently. Ivy, PL, Academies, NEC accounting for almost all. Would not be surprised if UNH jumps in the mix. Maine lone CAA school right now.

The sizes of these kids are amazing. The linemen are easily 50 pounds heavier than the linemen that played in my day and bigger than Syracuse "back in the day." And these are high school kids. Generally much taller too. Ahhh, genetics? That's why I argue with my Classmates that they were D-1A back in '66-'69 (of course, there was no D-1A, D-1AA) when they think they played superior teams and could beat the Crusader teams of today. IMHO, the players today are not only bigger but stronger and faster and would even beat the Floyd Little/Larry Csonka Orangemen. Csonka was bigger than our D-linemen and our linebackers. Not today. Heck, Dom Randolph had an O-line that averaged well over 300 pounds. OK, discuss . . . .
