BN: attack and serve. AL: retreat and shoot.
Why was he even recruited?

Some players don’t show their best in practice, but can shine come game time. Could never understand why fcbn never gave a shot to Lewis in games that were out of reach. Lord knows, there were a lot of them! Can’t blame the players for leaving under those circumstances.

Joey Reilly got a few chances and did appear young for D-1 but spent most of his time on the bench. He has gone on to shine at SHU so a little more support and development could have netted us another contributor. He shot .459/.389/.841 this past season playing 31 minutes a game. Batch clocked in for 32 minutes per game and shot .405/.404/.806 but had a 60/65 assist/TO ratio while Reilly was 73/50.

I think FHCBN soured on him after he made two turnovers on consecutive possessions vs. Canisius and he never got any significant playing time the rest of the season, even after Drew Lowder departed. As you may recall, we had Austin Butler, Clayton LeSann and Ryan Wade playing the point for most of the PL season. Seems as if Reilly could have played some of those minutes with no greater ill effect since we lost 16 of the last 17 games and the last 12 in a row basically without him.

Big loss for Lafayette as CJ Fulton their starting pg (from Ireland) transfers to Coll of Charleston So they've lost their top 3 scorers, O'Boyle, Rivera and now Fulton I don't like to see PL schools just getting weaker

This school has to do zero heavy lifting when it comes to recruiting, especially when competing against Patriot League schools.

Some guys see the PL as a stepping stone but there are many in the league who come for what it offers: a chance to play D1 basketball and get a great education. They all are certainly smart enough to realize that for most of them their thickest chapter won't involve a ball.

After living here for 5-6 years now, and seeing a ton of CAA basketball I would have to agree with GKS. At some point we have to get out of the PL, it provides nothing. I’ve seen the light, and it is so much sweeter.

Not trying to start trouble, but was this expected?: It's surprising to me. Dorsey seems like a player who could thrive in a Paulsen system. Let the speculation begin.

Guys - this team just went 10-23 (or whatever it was) with 2 D3 wins.
Dorsey can’t score. This wasn’t a good roster. I personally don’t want Rabinovich or Louth back either.
The roster was not a D1 roster except for a few kids. Paulsen must have thought enough of Bo to convince him ti stay.
Beyond that I want as many spots open for Paulsens own players.
I wish them all well. I wish their family well and I hope they all end up on a new roster and thrive.
But this roster wasn’t any good. Keep Batch. Kept Bo. Kenney for depth. He needs his own guys.
To be fair - I’m not blown away by De’Andre Williams. Getting a guy no one wanted except Rob Morris? I’ll pass on that too but time will tell.

This is too bad. I enjoyed watching him.
There is a fair amount of production here which will need to be replaced. Dorsey's numbers this year:
GP MIN FG%3P%FT% REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS 31 32.4 36.3 36.1 84.6 4.3 2.6 0.1 0.8 3.1 1.2 5.8
Not a stud and I can understand how he thinks that he might have a tough time getting on the floor next year.

Dorsey is a below average PL player.
Limited abilities on offense, but plays hard, a solid defender...he averaged 5.8 points, while playing 32.5 minutes for a bad Patriot League team.
I don't think there's a strong market out there for a guy like him.

Disappointed to hear this news--I thought Dorsey added value to the team. Now he's on to his third college....where is he going to end up that will be better for him basketball-wise and academically?

Unless CP told Dorsey he wasn't going to play, you'd think Dorsey would relish the opportunities to earn minutes.

There was nobody on last year's team who would have done any better and I am not sure that there will be anyone on the squad next year ready to do so right away. Not having him will not make us better next year although I understand DP is required to look further out than next year.

losing a player with PL experience is never a good thing. I get that his stats weren't all that good but he did compete every game. that's a character trait that you want on your team so losing that hurts. I get him wanting to leave because he might lose minutes but not having an experienced player there to help guide the new guys will be a loss.

Don’t see Rabs leaving until graduation. Unlike so many, he bleeds Purple through and through. Have had several conversations with him. Very refreshing in this day and age.
Saw him at the Football Spring game. His rehabilitation is coming along and the walking boot is off. Really hope he is healthy and will finally can be a strong contributor throughout next season.
I did not see or have a chance to talk to or see Louth to determine his readiness or his dedication.
