I would like to them at least give a token look to having CK at the 4, next to either Louth or Ryan. Just for a couple of minutes, that's all. Certainly couldn't have made things worse yesterday.
I want the team to do as well as they can in the present, for sure, but I have vowed to take CDP to heart - and think about the process, the future. In particular, with the freshmen, I am trying to envision what they will look like in 2 years. So far, I think they offer a lot of promise.

A tough watch for sure. But I stayed with it to the end.
There were some encouraging moments. Kenney is much much improved from last year and with a little more court time Louth could really help in the PL season.
DW has been mentioned by many and appropriately so. He has shown a real court sense and foot speed.
Octave had one "unconscious" night vs Georgetown but had 2 points last night. Nice player but very inconsistent.
Batch and Bo? Don't know what to say. Batch appears totally overmatched both on O and D. Going to be tough to win against good competition with Batch at the point. Tyler Boston cannot arrive soon enough.
Bo will get better. He has the athleticism and foot speed to be effective. He's just temporarily in a real funk. I hope DP gives him a hug. He looked so frustrated last night.
Nugent and Ryan can certainly shoot the ball but quickness is really lacking at this point in their careers.
It's a bit of a scary thought that Winthrop has about 150 teams rated ahead of them and we were totally blown away by them.
We all knew it was going to be a tough transition season. My bet is that by the PL season the quality of our play will have improved dramatically and we will win our fair share of games.

The PL looks to be very down this season.

…then all the more pressure on us to get our act together and avoid a disappointing PL season

Caleb has dramatically increased his involvement in the offense as measured by the number of shots he takes FR= 6.4 FGA/40 minutes SO= 9.6 FGA/40 JR= 16.5 FGA/40 (small sample-just 4 games So, he is scoring a lot more FR= 7.8 OTS/40 SO= 11.6 PTS/40 JR= 21.0 PTS/40 small sample He is committing more fouls FR= 3.5 PF/40 SO= 4.3 PF/40 JR= 6.0 PF/40 small sample Offense, of course, is only half the game, but I like what we have been seeing from Caleb in that regard

Anyone else think Nugent might be the key back man in a 1-3-1 zone?

Anyone else think Nugent might be the key back man in a 1-3-1 zone? He has the wingspan, but is he quick enough---as Eric Greene certainly was.

Anyone else think Nugent might be the key back man in a 1-3-1 zone? Not nearly fast enough. I'm not sure HCDP has ever employed a 1-3-1, so a moot point. 137?

I'm not sure HCDP has ever employed a 1-3-1, so a moot point. 137? he used it a couple of times his first year (La Salle, Army) when things were going badly. They obviously hadn't practiced it much, and it didn’t work very well. After those couple of occasions, DP never used it again. In all the years that he was at Bucknell, you could probably count the number of times he played a zone on one hand.
