U San Diego is actually a very nice private Catholic University. We played a home and home v them in 2003 and 2004. The ‘04 team coached by Jim Harbaugh.
Leupold probably thought “Okay, I’ve got 2 great options on each coast now, why wait and risk losing my spot?” Smart to lock it in before the season and enjoy Senior year.

U of San Diego is a great school in a great location. But the USD Toreros play in the non-scholarship Pioneer Football League. They were 4-7 last year and 0-3 against OOC teams, including Princeton who flew to San Diego to play in front of 1971 fans on a dry 71 degree day. So I think HC has a more vigorous football program at this time.

To have 10 commits with fewer than 50 offers is quite remarkable! I know you can say that in prior years we made many “reach” offers where a commitment was a long shot, but to this point at least it seems that HC is having a very solid recruiting effort.

Ones a DMV player as well, so maybe we locked down one of the DBs?

Ones a DMV player as well, so maybe we locked down one of the DBs? With Brown to Princeton today, you have 4 DMVs left on the board. DBs Grayton and Levrone plus WR Fisher and RB McCarter. I doubt it’s one of the 2 P/Ks as they typically come later but I was also surprised they closed 2 PWOs this early.

Either of the two Gonzaga guys would be home runs IMO. Is Levrone a DB recruit? As I recall he used to use the athlete tag because he was considered a possible WR candidate.

Levrone is a DB recruit. Right now they aren't heavily focused on RB. Will be interesting to see if they get a recruit (s) up for an OV during a home game during the fall, or wait until the second signing period to fill that position.

Only one left is WR Lincoln Fisher. Grant Grayton is Good Counsel HS and Gabe Levrone is Calvert Hall. The Gonzaga DL Brown just committed to Princeton.

Sorry, I keep thinking they were both Gonzaga, my bad and the two I always think were Gonzaga were Grant and Lincoln, I knew the other guy was from elsewhere. Grant and Lincoln are the two I'd most like to get.

From their records, I would say "good for your offense - except perhaps for the disaster at Cold Harbor."

From their records, I would say "good for your offense - except perhaps for the disaster at Cold Harbor." Good one, and I was only half-crazy, Ethan Brown, who recently committed to Princeton, was the second Gonzaga recruit. He also looked like a very good recruit for our level

Based on postings on 247 Sports, it appears that OL Daniel Pierre Louis (Offeree #42) has received offers this week from Florida State, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan and Marshall.

Grant and Lincoln are the two I'd most like to get. Either would be big time gets and BOTH would be a HOME RUN…From my sleuthing across multiple social media outlets and recruiting services, I think Lincoln looks to be HC, Memphis and Buffalo as his top 3 (where he’s visited recently.) Grant looks to be HC, Memphis and Bowling Green as most recent. Lincoln is probably the bigger need as we will graduate 3 WRs after this season. Shorter as a 4th year (no more eligibility left) along with Shipman and Q Gregory as 5th years. Grant would probably turn more heads since he’s a 3 star on 247. These two will square off this fall and that Gonzaga v Good Counsel game should be a helluva match-up.

110% committed...10% more than is actually possible. Interesting, but delusional. I think I like someone a bit more grounded in reality.
