Harry’s gut is usually right. Per Schell’s post and As a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air watcher as a kid , I’ll just say “In West Philadelphia born and raised…”

Of the 50 known offers made by Holy Cross during this recruiting cycle, 10 remain uncommitted (as far as I know). They are:
Offer # 02 -- DB Gabe Levrone (MD) Offer # 05 -- DB Jamal Davis (CT) Offer # 07 -- DE James Steel (DE) Offer # 30 -- DL Timothy Taylor (FL) Offer # 35 -- DE Mason Smith (DE) Offer # 39 -- K/P Owen Saraceno (VA) Offer # 42 -- OL Daniel Pierre Louis (FL) Offer # 47 -- OL Lucas Catoggio (NY) Offer # 49 -- LS Stone Owens (FL) Offer # 50 -- K/P Alessandro Garrett (CA)
I see there has been some sentiment to hold off on the specialists (LS, K/P) until later in the recruiting cycle.
Just wonder how the coaching staff might prioritize the other recruits in terms of filling out the roster for 2005.
Perhaps our recruiting experts might like to speculate on the priorities.

No west Philly player as was mentioned above by mw05 ? Mason Smith is from Philly but moved to DE recently (last year, maybe?)

Smith was going to attend a prep school in Middletown, DE for his Senior year but will now attend Kiski Prep (just East of Pittsburgh).
He played his first 3 years at Abraham Lincoln High School.

Smith would be a great get. Hopefully a player posts his commitment over the next few days. Who knows - maybe we'll see it tonight.

I can't tell if we just got another signal or the coaches are celebrating the Smith announcement.
Feels like we may have a DB commit on the way?

With OL Enright now a Crusader - only really ~5-6 missing positions to watch through the fall. CB DE DL/DT RB P/K - not sure if they will take one specialist for each or one player that does both. Seems like they want 1 Punter AND 1 Kicker. So at this point it's CB, RB, DT and P/K. I could see the coaches get a few players up for games on either 9/7 or 9/21 if it can work for the players schedule. From now to signing day the only weekends open are 11/2 and possibly the weekend after Thanksgiving. But hopefully HC is in the playoffs that weekend. Signing Day is 12/4 this year. So it's really going to be about in game visits for any of those remaining spots. Most focus is going to be just keeping the 12 commits in the boat and possibly adding 1-3 more before 12/4. Great spot to be in.

x.com/catoggio_lucas?lang=enMany students from Chaminade to HC over the years. First football player in a while, I believe. Same league as Kellenberg, home of Matt Sluka
