BU shoots 25-26 at the line. HC, rather shockingly given the half time score, has 2 more field goals than the Terriers. Glad I didn't shut it off at the half as it turned out to be a very interesting game.

We may have packed it in. But we also are pretty bad. Hard to tell. Hopefully it is more of the latter, not the former which I don't think it is. I think we have our answer. |

53 in a half to Duke is bad. To BU, it’s horrible. Fouling on a 3 with 2 seconds left is the cherry on top of the sundae. This is not good. |

For you old guys on Crossports who remember the teams of the 70’s, one of my best friends and teammates died last night. Please say a prayer for Tyree Blocker. One of the best cornerbacks to play at Holy Cross. So sorry to hear this news. |

The only eyeballl test I’ve taken is seeing this is one of the worst teams in D1 in one of the worst leagues in D1. Can’t shoot. Can’t rebound. Can’t pass. Can’t play D. Have no size or speed. I’m sure the incoming recruits are being overrated by the regulars here because no decent D1 level player would be advised or decide to come play here. Awful. HC basketball should never again be referenced with the terms “rich tradition “ or “ storied history “. The administration and the abominable PL membership have very effectively erased that. Signed, a former diehard season ticket holder. Unfortunately I agree with just about everything you say here although I have maintained my season tickets but haven’t been to a game mainly due to Covid, in four years. The one hope I have is DP and his staff can convince a few good young men that HC is a great fit for them and collectively can get this program turned around. If it could be done at Colgate, I really believe it can be done at HC. |

He's playing for a new coach this year (Sundance Wicks) - in the few games I have browsed through he seems to be their backup point guard. At least they are winning now; maybe he can get to the dance. Wisconsin Green Bay won 3 games last year and only 2 players from that team returned. This year the aptly named Phoenix are 18-12. WCG was the only D1 scholarship offer for 11 of their players. |

I was told a pot of gold awaited HC in the BE. I glanced at the endowments of the current BE members. No pot of god. It seems there is no great financial reward with the BE. Also, HC would never be competitive in that league. Size & academic, & over emphasis rule it out. There is a pot of bad basketball, lack of respect and crappy attendance at the end of the PL rainbow. Amen. As someone said the other day on the UMass Board, who you play doesn't matter if you aren't concerned with exposure, media attention, recruiting, attendance, level of officiating, etc. |

That is putting it mildly. Only NYU has done more in the last 50+ years to make a once very strong hoop program more irrelevant than HC. |

Morales did not play last game, and he is a bit of a matchup problem. Most opponent players are matchup problems for HC. I know DP is a man to man guy but if this continues early next year, I hope he has some wrinkles in mind. The one coach who has been successful at HC in the last 25 years confounded opponents with a D other than man to man. |
