Jack Toomey’s play in the last month has made a big difference -,in early April his BA was down to .205. Right now he’s up to .278 on the season - he’s playing like he did last season was he was the PL ROY

Super job by sr. Pitcher Alex Bryant - giving up 5 runs in the first and then pitches 5 1/3 scoreless innings while we fight back - great job by the coaches to trust their experienced pitcher

Soph Danny Machiarola has been our no.2 starter for most of the season - he’s very capable of getting the job done although our offense will have to show up as well

Someone is taking this thread for a ride - please do not lend any credence to Nova leaving the BE - just silly talk

I believe the PL site is wrong - the Navy site has a single game tmro and the 2nd (and 3rd if nec) on Sunday This is better for us considering our travel schedule

Exams started yday and go thru Tuesday - with a long bus ride today to Annapolis, I wonder if our players are in the classroom until this afternoon and then the long ride to Md. Maybe not the ideal situation for tmro's critical first game but that is the reality in the PL (and I don't disagree with it)

I think the big stumbling block for Richmond to get closer to embracing the PL would be the whole redshirt policy. The CAA has a flexible one and the PL has a restrictive one. I hope there can be a compromise that helps the Spiders make the move

If we attracted better crowds (like Delaware has in recent years, in the 15k neighborhood) it would justify scheduling more aggressively out of the region. But our fan base is fairly thin and we do not generate enough revenue to justify plane trip games. In other words, more need to 'show up at Fitton'.

A strange fact about their schedule is 6 straight home games from Sep 21 through Nov 2 - not ideal but when you’re an Indy you have to be flexible

Very appropriate award for a coach who led his team to 3rd place in a 6 team league - and considering all of the injuries, even a greater accomplishment - I'm proud to contribute to our baseball program which operates with no athletic financial aid

Mason Black, Lehigh grad and PL Pitcher of the Year in ‘21 became the 2nd PL grad to pitch in the majors this season last night when he started for the SF Giants vs. Phillies

Navy won the season series 3-2 - they swept the 2 games played in Annapolis - if we would have swept Lehigh on Sunday we would have finished with the same PL record as Navy, 15-10 but lose the tiebreaker

It is not a good trend for UConn to have such a big gap between themselves and the rest of the Big East. In other words, the league is not strong enough after the Huskies

I think even the HC players with a 14-35 record are ready to get ready for finals and head home for the summer - could you call your competition really a ‘championship’? Another wacky idea

I'm not sure we can take the claim seriously that she had 'offers' from Big East and Big Ten schools - sometimes people in a player's camp will confuse 'interest' with 'offers'. In any case I like this commitment very much especially when you see the size that the other PL schools are bringing in with the class of '27. We will need size going forward.

And the other academy also goes down as Lehigh beat Navy 12-8 - looks like the PL will get only one big, going to tmro’s winner
