So how will this game work? If I'm staying in a hotel in Boston is there a subway that gets to Boston College? Or is Uber the only option?

Depends on where your hotel is located.
There's a T stop directly across the street from the main entrance to campus....and then an easy walk over to Alumni Stadium. You'll pass several areas of students/alums tailgating along the way.

As you head outbound, the green line branches into 4 different destinations. You will want to make sure the train is marked "B" Other options will likely leave you disappointed

Has anyone heard of any plans - either by HC or jointly with BC - to celebrate the revival of the series in some way ?
I think it's regrettably obvious that in general, this event means more to HC alums than it does to BC folks. BC quickly replaced us with a rivalry series with ND and a few years ago rekindled another long-time annual rival in Syracuse.
Would at least hope that the Boston Globe does a historical piece on the game during game week.
BEAT BC !
I asked before and I don't think anyone knew then....will there be an O'Melia Award for this game?

Re: The T Green Line
Coming out of Boston, B line will actually take you further- ends on Comm. Ave. in front of St. Ignatius. Walk through a couple of parking lots and you are at the stadium.
C line ends at Cleveland Circle, walk on Beacon Street along the reservoir is nice but definitely longer.
From Riverside, it's the D line and you would get off at Chestnut Hill, which is right by the Longwood Tennis Club (not to be confused with the Longwood T station on the same line which is near Fenway Park). Walk from there up Hammond Street to BC. About the same distance walk as from Cleveland Circle.

With a month left, not nearly as much hype about this game as I would have thought, at least compared to Yankee Stadium. This will be a tough one.

That Hammond Pond lot for $40 is about a mile and a half away It mentions shuttles from Brighton but not that Hammond Pond lot. They might have them, but I'd be prepared to walk if parking there

I sent an email to Nate and Anthony Moore asking whether they have considered having buses from Holy Cross. Sent it perhaps a week, week and a half ago and, so far, no response. Considering the cost would be borne by the people who would take a chartered bus (presumably Silver Fox), this would seem to be a no-brainer to me. Perhaps they are looking for people to ask and show there is a demand for a bus. So, if you are as interested as I am, I suggest dropping Nate an email at:

So, this is the program cover from 1950 game that they are using to hawk tickets to the game [forget that, I've got my tickets, when will I get an answer about a bus?]. For those of a certain age, doesn't it look like Arthur Godfrey was the model for this cover boy? ["howahya, howahya, howahya"]

I would imagine that if a good number of students are interested in attending the HC v BC football game (and it is anybody's guess if that is the case) the school might arrange some sort of buses.

Just in case it helps anyone, after a call to the BC ticket office, there is on-campus parking available at various price points and locations, and depending upon whether or not you want to be in the true tailgating area, in which case it will cost you $300. For a large tailgating party, divided up among many people, it might actually make sense financially, as a means of getting a car with provisions into the tailgating grounds to serve as ground zero and then have others meet via Uber, off campus parking, or T. Also, there is also a group ticket rate available via the BC ticket office, where tickets go from $25 to $15, although no group rate or discounts are available for seats behind the HC bench, which are $40. They tell me sales have been brisk for an FCS game, some sections near capacity.
