That's a very entertaining lineup of New England football! Great to see Holy Cross featured prominently!

Plenty of good seats still available on Stubhub for those looking to go. And you don’t give any additional money to BC.

You just give $ to the BC fans who unloaded their tix to the likes of Ace, StubHub, Seat Geek and others.

Pretty misleading graphic. Nothing says good marketing like a message indicating a sell out to those still thinking about attending the game!

You just give $ to the BC fans who unloaded their tix to the likes of Ace, StubHub, Seat Geek and others. True. Which is the lesser of two evils? Giving money to BC and Ticketmaster or giving money to BC fans and Stubhub? Close call.

Pretty misleading graphic. Nothing says good marketing like a message indicating a sell out to those still thinking about attending the game! As I’ve said on other topics before, there are plenty of good opportunities if you want to criticize Pine. This is not one of those.

Thanks cmo….
That's a very good and well composed article.
Addazio's comments....when he was first hired he also spoke of growing up and being a fan of the annual HC-BC grid games. While Eagles will be a 4 touchdown favorite, he's not the type of guy to run up the score or be calling deep pass plays in the 4th quarter if the game is well in hand.

Bought 3 tickets today thru bc ticket office. Good crowd expected. It shall definitely be an interesting experience. Having been to the last hc vs bc game, I felt I had to go. What I found cool is that I actually convinced 2 others to come with me. Things are looking up.

I'm convinced the nostalgic and curious HC crowd will be bigger than BC's in terms of actual fannies in the seats.
BC fans who went to Alumni Stadium Saturday watched an uncompetitive and one-sided debacle v UMass. 48-7 at half time. Addazio quickly turned down the gas, went to 2 and 3 on the depth charts by the second quarter, and tried not to score. After learning his QB is fine, he rotated in 2 or 3 other QBs. BC fans know HC is weaker than UMass. And many may spend this Saturday elsewhere.
"Trailing 34-7, Young's 73 yard kickoff return briefly gave UMass life, but with Young catching his breath, Bilal Ally took a handoff and fumbled the ball at the three. BC marched 97 yards for another score that sent many of the UMass fans in the announced crowd of 30,112 to the exits. BC added a touchdown return for a touchdown to make it 48-7 at intermission."
It is unfortunate timing for us coming off an encouraging loss v PL favorite Colgate with a couple of things that need work...and now we face BC. Not sure we can learn much v BC that will help us with our usual opponents. I also have a couple of other concerns (Colgate sacked us 3 times. UMass, who used 3 quarterbacks, was sacked 6 times v BC and it could have been much more etc.)

Good thing you aren't going to the game then. Perhaps there is a Villanova game you can catch?

The good news is that, after playing BC, Yale will look like a high school team.

Good thing you aren't going to the game then. Perhaps there is a Villanova game you can catch? Still obsessing about Villanova? Like BC, they've sort of left us in the dust. I wouldn't worry about either. After beating FBS Temple this week, Villanova is travelling to Lehigh. BC takes on Wake Forest after us.

Yep, I'm the one obsessing about Villanova:
You are the only one who consistently wants to compare Villanova to Holy Cross. Go back and review your posts from when you first came out of the gate.

Below is the update that I received 8/29. I decided not to take the bus for a number of reasons, despite it being my idea. Nick Smith who has been trying to make these arrangements told me at the time that responses had "been light" and I know they need at least 40 people. Have not heard since. If you got your game tickets through Holy Cross, you should have received this email and suggest signing up if you want to go. Not sure what their cut-off date is to pull the plug if they don't get 40.
