Colgate did not look good against at best a mediocre Pitt team. League looks like it will be quite competitive after Bucknell. They benefit by reloading and outside of Floyd we remain physically young. The potential from mid majors comes when they are physically developed as seniors so these next three years have enormous upside Yes, Colgate didn't shoot well today on the road. And Pitt is certainly not a great team - but they are far from the dumpster fire they were last year. Currently ranked 79th nationally by Pomeroy after being #227 last year. And they are doing it with three freshman starters. Colgate lost today by 14 points - with the game really decided in the final 4:30 of the first half when Pitt outscored them 16-4. Colgate shot terribly for much of the game (4-24 on threes), but they did get a very impressive 51% of available offensive rebounds. I think they will definitely be a contender.

There are five contenders but the Bison are a step above in terms of talent, experience and depth. With that said, the next three( Colgate, HC, Lehigh, in whatever order) could end up winning it all and AU/BU being a spoiler

The Eagles committed 20 turnovers, six by Sa'eed Nelson. Nelson is a great player, but today has to have been one of the worst statistical games he's ever had: 7 points (3-10 FG's, 1-4 FT's), 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 6 turnovers, 1 steal, fouled out early in OT on an offensive foul. With GW having a real down year and missing their top rebounder, I expected AU to win this one. So did we. May have been Sa'eed's worst game since coming here. Just didn't have it. Despite his struggles, we still should have won going away. Bad loss to a bad team. No excuse. We have the talent to be a top four team in the PL, but the inconsistency of execution as evidenced Saturday is something we have to improve on to get there.

Half Lafayette 43 Lehigh 35
Like how everybody was impressed with Lehigh and Bucknell. Both are going down to average teams at best.

Few second chances for Bison, since Army has sucked up 85% of the available D-boards and is +4 TO

Army leads 37-13 at the half--hard to believe this. Bucknell is 3-11 on 2's and 1-16 on 3's. Wow!
Bucknell's effective fg pctg is 20%. Going back to 2002 Bucknell has not had a game below a horrendous 30%

Army came into the game ranked 325th in defending the two. Bucknell has taken 59% of its shots from beyond the arc. Um . . .

They call it Conference play for a reason Makes this weekend unpredictable 2-0 might be a great start out of the gate

Half Lafayette 43 Lehigh 35 Like how everybody was impressed with Lehigh and Bucknell. Both are going down to average teams at best. Maybe, but the same thing could happen to us if we don't bear down and git er done. Would be very nice to take advantage of these early developments! Course....none of these games are finished yet either.

Bucknell has to make a run after the half-time scorching by the coach, but this hill may just be too high for the team to climb.
