Complete Joke where we were seeded. W&M got an early Xmas gift what a disgrace!!!!! Let’s hope for a blizzard in two weeks if Fordham wins.

What do you folks think the committee valued most this year? Considering NDSU's rank, I would put reputation and conference pestige up there. Should we have rankings play more of a role and take out some of the human biases? I think they valued on field performance...NDSU was 9-2 with their only losses coming to an FBS team and the #1 seed...by a combined 5 points

I suspect that they aren't upset with potentially playing Fordham a second time and think along the lines of "we've beaten them multiple consecutive times; we know them and their players and won't be any surprises"; DeMorat? heck we know how to beat him; last time we played UNH we beat them in 2019 and they must be lower seeded to play in small Fordham stadium and have 3 losses. Get through that second round would put us a step better than last season and if #1 seed SD State doesn't get bumped off, well, you eventually have to take on the top teams anyway.

If you want to compete on the national level the Patriot League is not your friend. The fact that a 9-2 Fordham team was a bubble team should tell you all you need to know.
Awful league + No respect nationally = 11-0 Eight Seed.

How many teams seeded ahead of us would you be willing to say we should beat in a head to head match up? According to Massey ratings: UIW and W&M. According to Massey matchup tool, W&M and Samford are essentially toss-ups others all L's. Personally I think we take UIW and W&M. Samford a close L.

OK, in the world of "what if"... Massey has New Hampshire as a 3 point favorite at home against Fordham...with a 54% chance for the win. By his standards, that is a virtual toss-up.
He makes HC a 7 point favorite over UNH (with a 66% chance for the win). He makes HC a 6 point favorite over the Rams with a 61% chance for the win. (He must be assuming we don't get the same refs who had the last HC/FU game.)

All joking aside, I would take those odds and I would politely ask for an ACC or American official.

If its Fordham in 2 weeks, I would worry about that law of averages thing. Here's an example of that. The Vicens/Potter era. We had UMass' number, beat them 5 times in 4 years. Then they beat us the 6th time on a crazy prayer shot at the buzzer. UMass had pretty good teams those 4 years as well.

It’s increasingly clear what the committee values and it should be no surprise in a division that operates on strict budgets. UD and Montana get the last two spots. Both schools will put in nice bids to host opening round and will have some of the highest attendance numbers in the opening round (NCAA also takes a cut of ticket revenue).
Follow the money…

Probably getting a NEC crew due to location of the game. If it works anything like college basketball, there will be high rated crews available; there are very few higher level college football games that weekend. Even next weekend, I'd assume UNH/Fordham will get a better group than they usually get.

The crowd should be good.
I kind of want to see Demorat's reaction if we beat them again!
UNH would bring more fans.

Fair-weather fans. Literally.

Law of averages says a day like today- which, quite frankly, was pretty crappy with the wind.

Should we have rankings play more of a role and take out some of the human biases? Reputation and conference prestige could be subliminal factors but it would be hard to say out loud in the meeting "I'm picking less deserving (lower ranked) team A over more deserving team B because team A plays in a conference with a non-competitive reputation and no prestige." So committee members have to reinvent the wheel to build a case the rankings organizations have already rejected. A computer could average out the three most credible rankings and compute the bracket and then let committee members argue why the computer is wrong and be required to prove their case to make any individual changes. Milage and league affiliations could all be fed into the computer to decide first round matchups.

Just win the game in front of you and don’t worry about rankings, they’re meaningless once the game starts.

Has the home field bid for Fordham-UNH been decided already? The Fordham AD said last night the committee told him he should not expect a home game.
