Yale winning. No doubt. We need a marquee win and Ivy League title would help. Harvard at 8-2 and a share of the Ivy title (with Yale) is still a quality loss. HC could say it split with the Ivy champs. See my breakdown in the Bracketology thread for all games to monitor and who to root for. That's my thinking as well. Fingers crossed for a Yale win that results in both schools at the tail end of the Top 25 and of course an Ivy co-championship. Could be 3 way if Dartmouth wins at Brown which I think they will.

Yes, absolutely want Yale to win. We want to be able to advertise we beat two conference champs, whether "co" or not (Yale and, hopefully, Merrimack).

Stan Becton's opinion yesterday
Definitely out
Holy Cross Holy Cross is 7-4 with only two FCS losses. However, the Crusaders don't have a signature win. That'll keep a team that made the quarterfinals on the outside looking in.

Anyone know how many at-large teams have 2 or fewer FCS losses?

If anyone is going to talk about our lack of signature wins vis-a-vis others with signature wins, they also have talk about bad losses (which I'd call a loss to an FCS team that finished 0.500 or lower). I have no idea what that looks like for the other 7-4 teams, but I know we don't have one of those.

At the very least, if we do get in, it would be very difficult for another team left out to complain that we don't belong. You can't point at our resume and go "aha, they lost to bad team X. They're clearly a pretender." Problem is sure a team like Richmond had two bad losses early, but they won 6 straight to close out the season. Tough to say they deserve a bid less so than a team like HC with 4 losses. And again, lets hope that Yale is now viewed as a quality win. And a decisive quality ROAD win at that.
