Prosper Texas is an affluent suburb in far northwest Metro Dallas-Ft Worth, in a fast growing area. Population was under 10,000 in 2010 census and is now about 26,000. The school has grown accordingly and has moved up in athletic classes many times and is now in 6A with just under 3,000 students. Davis Webb, NJ Jets QB (on the team, but I don't think he sees game action) went to Prosper High School. I could be wrong but I think 6A is the highest classification in Texas.

Just hope next year's recruits stay. Plus Bill Carmody had a great Princeton team that he inherited. Other then that he won one championship at HC with Brown's team. You're saying he won a PL championship with d3 players? That seems pretty impressive.

WR AYIR ASANTE, 5-11, 175, St. Peter's Prep, Jersey City, NJ. Had committed to Lehigh in June 2018. Rated 2* (5.4) by Rivals. Also had offers from Colgate, Navy, and Howard. Maybe Richh can tell us what happened at Lehigh. No clue. It was reported by local papers and StPeters that he had signed. No announcement from LU. My guess is he didnt sign or if he did we released his NLI upon coach change. I lean to the former. You got a real good kid and we lost yet another one to you guys The St Peter's Prep website shows him signing. It looks like he may have requested Lehigh release his NLI with the coaching change. "Congratulations to four seniors who committed to colleges this week, where they will continue their football careers alongside their academic pursuits. A signing ceremony took place Tuesday afternoon at the Perkins Athletic Center for the athletes and their families. Pictured above, left to right, are Ayir Asante (Lehigh), Chase Jones (Wake Forest), Maasai Maynor (Navy) and RJ Oben (Duke). They are joined by Savon Huggins, ’11 (NCAA Compliance Coordinator), Fr. Ken Boller, S.J. (President), Rich Hansen, P’03,’09 (Athletic Director and Head Football Coach), and Jim DeAngelo, ’85 (Principal)."

I hope he is very successful.
I would also hope that when they play Lafayette and the score is tied at seven with two minutes left in the 4th qtr and its 4th down on their own thirty yard line, he punts.

Wonder where Duff will end up now...also he's 66 maybe he's had enough or wants to cut back a bit. Just hope all his options are on the table for him to choose. College athletic director?

We seem to be thinnest at DL and LB right now. It looks like they're going to put Kiessling on the DL.

If that's the case then I wonder if he was offered as a walk on and Lafayette jumped in and offered a half schollie or more? Lafayette offered Gilbert in June. He committed to you guys on or about 12/5. A clue to his situation could be his 12/12 retweet, I suggest done with empathy, "Make Them Remember When They Passed Up On You!" His not signing with HC was probably out of his hands. He clearly wanted to. Terrific new staff, guys, and great class. I wonder if it was an admissions decision or if someone better jumped on board?

UNHFAN, c'mon we're a tiny school. How many HC fans do you think would actually be willing and able to scramble around and fly to an FCS Championship game, across the country, with a week or two notice, in the middle of the Winter? This is frankly where the FCS playoffs fails for us. You cannot have a playoff system of this magnitude. It is interminable and inaccessible, even for die hard fans like myself. Plus, what works for a large state school like UNH may be different than what will work for HC. That being said, if dangling the chance to compete for a national championship is landing us better recruits, or if the players prefer it, so be it. However, I've seen no such proof of this since we went back to the auto-bid. By the way, where is it stated that the champions of two similar FCS conferences cannot agree to have game at the higher seeded teams field at the end of the season, call it a bowl or whatever you wish? I'm not saying you're going to get 70,000 fans, but I'm sure that with the enthusiasm of the season still palpable, you'll get a nice crowd, and it would be exciting for the host school and community. This is what can be considered a "reasonable goal" for a school like HC. So your answer is to play an Ivy League school call it a bowl game and the only people that know it happen are those that show up. I can tell you UNH’s playoff run and being on ESPN for games has helped recruiting. For me it comes down to the chance to win a national title. But if you prefer playing Harvard with the same size crowd you get in the regular season all you my friend. I like the idea of kids getting a ring. Not only does it help recruiting but its the one recruiting chip we have over them.

Untrue imo....more HC fans care about the Ivy games than they do about the PL games....do you really care about HC-Lafayette more than HC-Harvard? Of course. There's more at stake. Lafayette is a league game, Harvard isn't. And would I rather play Harvard or a caa school like UNH, Villanova or James Madison? I'd rather play the caa school.

Ahtist formerly known as Indianhoop, You're ok with the fact that the 1987 division 1aa national championship trophy sits in Northeast Louisiana's trophy case? Semantics...true fans know that that '87 team was the best in 1-AA that year (or many other years as well). The FCS playoffs are just not that big a deal imo....a convoluted, drawn out process so that ND State can once again be crowned champs. A Patriot-Ivy Bowl game would be much bettah for players and fans alike. PL-Ivy game??? Booooring!!!! We already play them during the season and few care. Dump them altogether and replace them with caa games.
