High in Ann Arbor on Sunday = 36. Cold but not ridiculously so.

'gate upsets umass 2-0. great show for the PL. next a very tough matchup at Michigan on Sunday Good win - but not a huge upset. UMass ranked #30 in last coaches' poll. Both Colgate and Boston U had played them fairly evenly in the regular season. Now it gets tough, as the seeded teams begin play. Michigan is only the 13th seed however, so Colgate might be able to hang around. Colgate not only hung around - but scored a late goal to win 3-2. They will face #4 Louisville next, and I think their run may end.

PL soccer must be pretty good if the sixth best team has now won two NCAA games.

PL soccer must be pretty good if the sixth best team has now won two NCAA games. As you know, soccer results on many occasions don't reflect who is the better team. Colgate was the defending champ and was picked for 2nd in the preseason poll. I think the general feeling around the league was that they were better than their regular season record. Having said that, the PL is a pretty good men's league but certainly not in the class of the top leagues.

Very impressive showing for the league - Michigan scored twice in the first 10 minutes, only to lose. Gutsy performance. 'Gate next plays at Louisville this weekend. Another upset was Fordham (who recvd an at-large bid) beating UVA in Charlottesville 1-0

My son’s team tied the state champs in their age group 0-0 in a recent league game where it definitely felt like the field was a little tilted for much of the game.

Colgate's season ended yday in the sweet 16, losing at No.4 Louisville 2-0 - great showing for PL soccer. (as Fordham is an associate member of PL), can add that they had the biggest upset win in the tourney beating No.5 Duke in Durham on penalty kicks (8-7) after scoring with 3 minutes left in regulation to tie the game 2-2. They next play UNC in Chapel Hill on Saturday in the Elite 8.
