Pat B getting some playing time, but has not been on the court at the same time as Green. We are much better with only one of them on the court

If we score 5 more points, they need 20 to tie it up in under 4 minutes... It’s all about defending and taking care of the ball

All five starters in double figures -- we've certainly found our top five guys moving forward.
Grandison with the best game of his career.
Green was really steady out there, and did a good job all day facilitating and picking his spots.
Kentucky, Charles has to be nearing the red light from three, no? He's been real bad during PL play.
We have won four out of six, and have a good chance to make it five of seven against Navy next Wednesday.

W
Very nice win
I agree with the announcers We could be a tough out in the P L Tournament As they said "how is this team 4-7 in the PL!
Floyd is outstanding. Needs to touch the ball even more and Butler is VERY good Grandson shoots without a conscience (that’s a Compliment)
Players looked much more comfortable with the unfortunate exception of Benzan whom we will need down the stretch
We do need to eliminate those 8 minute stretches (as seen in the Lehigh game) where we look awful and lose the game. Maybe we’ve seen the last of those!
Bottom line ....W Always feels good.
Congratulations to coach and team

Five HC Players in double figures and seven score for the Crusaders. Five HC Players had 5 or more rebounds and seven all together pulled down 32 rebounds to 26 for Loyola. 17 of 20 FTs for HC...nice 14 assists to 11 for Loyola. Kosteka led Loyola with 14 - mostly late in the game. He is a good player I don't see him starting at HC right now. (Anyone still feel losing him as a recruit really hurt HC?) The HC defense, especially (but not just) JF in the middle, gave Loyola fits. They blew some bunnies because they were looking at who might be coming at them for the block instead of looking at the basket. Announcers said that this was the first time that Loyola had been blown out at home in this way. Their only other PL home loss was to Bucknell. Their coach indicated he did not wish to speak to them after the game. Best announcer call of the game: "Faw is in at #5 for the greyhounds." Oops...perhaps wishful thinking. 2nd best Announcer call: Right now, HC does not have any seniors on the court. (Was one going to make a surprise appearance?) In short, the team looked good today. Another frosh had a strong game with Grandison's 21. Loyola looked bad and the HC defense had a lot to do with that, IMHO. It must be my purple lenses. (Nice Avatar, cmo!) Also, nice to see Connor Niego back on the floor, even briefly.

Really nice wire to wire effort today. Looks like Last game was not an aberration BC has shortened bench with starters playing 30+ plus minutes again. JF is a beast in the paint, intimidating all penetrators and finishing all chances on offensive end, completely dominated Gregory. Grandison had a fantastic game and Green was very good. Charles is playing better but not hitting outside shot at all, Butler had a solid game. Need to win Navy game at home as have a tough three game stretch after that with BU and Army away and Bucknell at home. RGS you have those purple glasses on again if you think Kostecka would not be a factor on this team. He's averaging 11 points 4 rebounds 2 assists and 2 steals a game a very solid player who would get plenty of minutes on this team.

Nice to see my prediction come true:
OK, OK, so my timing was off but maybe someone told them in advance they would remain Crusaders.

Getting hard to deny that there's progress being made here. Good to see. Nice win today, but beating up on awful teams doesn’t exactly signal meaningful progress for the long term. Our top 2 wins this year are against #184 and #207, and then the next best win is against #264. If beating #303 signals progrsss, that says a lot more about how far we’ve fallen than where we’re going.

Maybe avoid the play in round, or at least host the game - 7th place. Couldn't care less about our kenpom or anyone else's at this point

Hard to post January wins against good teams when conference you play in is comprised of low-ranked stiffs except for one school.

If beating #303 signals progrsss, that says a lot more about how far we’ve fallen than where we’re going. Didn't we win by 16 points on the road? I think a lot of objective observers would regard that as a sign of progress being made. I'll tell you something that impresses me: in each of the last four games we have made at least 2/3rds of our two pointers: 16/24 then 24/29 then 17/24 then 22/33. So we're hitting our twos at .718 in the last four games. I'll save you some time on your reply as you'll likely want to say that "it's all due to JF". So what if it was? But, in fact, the rest of the team has hit @ .645 on twos in the last four games. I see progress--I think you are in the minority in failing to see it.

I don't look at the ranking numbers, I look at the progress of the team play and individuals..I see both getting better.. Not a thing wrong with a win, and improved play. If you are waiting for wins against top 25 teams, you need to get a job in admissions...

Just keeping this win in perspective...first time I've watched us in awhile...it was a nice win but Loyola "lost" that game as much as we won it...terrible team.
