I am guessing they knew the students would not be on campus and grossly underestimated the size of the crowd. Thing is, do students (the few that go) actually use the concession stand? I’d think they’d eat at Kimball and head up. I never use it either, but was between youth games and was strapped for time. Running out of food before tip- off just seems wild. I wonder if another team on campus ( softball, golf, etc) would run the stand and the profits could pay for their trips.

Liked the idea of the bus for Siena. Wonder if it would draw interest if HC did it? for Basketball and Football Tough to get the locals to the Hart never mind busing to Iona

Have been there many times over the last 2 years but not on my way to the HC games from RI as it would be a little out of the way. Bills itself as a "New York Style Deli" and certainly qualifies since it is in CT. The decor/theme is New York City including a miniature Statue of Liberty. I second 81's favorable rating on the pastrami. Factoid: One of the first times I was there, I asked my waitress what the proper pronunciation was: "Reens" or "Rhynes" and was told neither, it is pronounced like the good Irish name "Ryan's" (2 syllables). Thought she was pulling my leg but she swore that is the correct pronunciation.

I am guessing they knew the students would not be on campus and grossly underestimated the size of the crowd. They were apparently expecting a crowd of 0.
