Lafayette very aggressive defense in the half-court.

Petrie hits a wide-open three. He has been torching us for three years out there - how can we possibly allow him to keep doing this?

Down fourteen or so at the half not insurmountable - their defense is not good fundamentally, and regression to the mean should kick in.

Nice steal and coast to coast bucket by PB makes it a 12 point game. A L score were could have been a disaster.

Lafayette shooting 65% EFG. Our defense is no mystery to them.

If we don’t make adjustments at the half to stop the wide open 3s, I will not pick HC to win another game.

Years ago I heard a wise coach say "When they are consistently beating what you are doing, try something different."
For the love of God, could we try a MTM against this Lafayette team?
How can Carmody allow them to shoot wide open three after wide open three?
They can shoot open standing threes. Make them beat you another way.

HC shooting well, too - 57% EFG

Against a team with the 3 point shooters that Lafayette has, you are right, but not every team has that sort of outside shooting. HC turnovers may have been as big a factor in that half as the Pards' 3 pointers.

Lafayette really emphasizes the three when playing HC. Against other opponents Laf takes a lot of threes, but threes are less than 40% of FGA. Against HC, almost half their shots are threes:
Last year and 1&1/2 games this year:
Laf= 41-98 on twos--- shows pretty good defense by HC
Laf= 44-94 on threes---Laf having great success

Petrie has shot made about 70% of his threes against us since he came into the league - with a shot he can't get off if a defender is a couple steps away when he catches it. Don't understand why he has so much time to launch.

HC winning the rebounding 17-13 (we lost the boards against Army). Perhaps rebounding is not quite as big a factor as we thought.

Lafayette is not a good rebounding team.
We are 351st in the country in total rebounding percentage - the numbers don't lie.

Don't understand why he has so much time to launch. Spot on Petry versus HC-- 3&1/2 games 6-20 on twos= 30% 21-30 on threes= 70% 9-9 on free throws = 100%
