I'm curious where you found this time. I can't find any start time at all on the ESPN site. Espn+ lists the games for Wednesday Thanks. I wonder if that is just a place-holder. I'm surprised they would play a tournament game that early in the day, especially on a weekday.

First postseason home game since 2015 and no fans allowed. Can’t win.

Annapolis goes on lockdown.
No numbers, but must be high, and increasing. The Navy began vaccinating all faculty and staff at the USNA on Jan. 14th, and I think it reasonable to assume those vaccinations are complete. (The vaccines are delivered in large-sized lots with hundreds of doses per lot, so at a site like the USNA, it would be mass vaccination.) The midshipmen are in a subsequent phase, which apparently has yet to start.
If faculty and staff were vaccinated, that suggests the Tier One positive on the women's team is a player.

They've locked the gates at Annapolis. www.usna.edu/COVID-19/No mention of the Marine Security Company, nominally assigned to Camp David, being deployed to Annapolis to ensure no one breaches the gates. (This is a heavy weapons company, capable of creating a world of hurt.)

I'd say that if Loyola wins, they'll get Navy on their court; assuming Loyola isn't a hot spot.
If HC wins, however, more of a dilemma for the PL.

See we should have played each team twice home and away. Now the PL switches it up for the playoffs. Why even do pods in the first place? Especially if you are not going to play through the pods in the playoffs. Makes this like the old World Series were you have not played a team during the regular season or even a similar team.

Based on latest COVID stats through Feb 28, HC has fewer COVID cases than Loyola. But interesting question, Maybe play at a neutral court such as West Point?

Why would any school, especially a Service Academy, want two different schools from different states with possible different Covid protocols to play a game there ? See USNA

See USNA The COVID protocols for teams in the PL are to be similar, by league rule. Apparently, one reason for no OOC (Navy & Army excepted) in hoops was because opponents needed to have protocols similar to PL protocols, and there was concern about how that could be assured.

The Naval Academy is closed tight for a minimum of 10 days..Where will the men play their games? I've got the perfect place. Only 23 miles from Annapolis and available for rental: The Show Place Arena. In all seriousness, however, with all of the colleges and high schools with good basketball facilities within an hour of Annapolis - and with all of the contacts and power held by the NAAA - I doubt they will have a problem finding a court to play on in the Baltrimore-Washington area. Loyola might be willing to let them use Reitz even if they don't advance.

bison, I think Navy needs a court which is broadcast-ready. (Show Palace appears to be closed to 'high contact sports.) A 'back to the future venue would be GWU's once-upon-a-time home court, which was the gym at Fort Myer (now part of a US Army / USMC Joint Base.)

How about Hart? No need to try and hunt or negotiate for a place to play
Failing that, I understand the need to be reasonably set up for TV, but Navy can have pretty much any coastal city arena they want. Park a carrier group off of NYC and tell them we want the game in Madison Sq Garden. They'll yield

The question has arisen: "who in the PL had the easiest conference schedule"?
I took a look at it in a rudimentary way, by using each opponent's "adjusted efficiency" from Ken Pomeroy which subtracts defensive efficiency (the lower the better) from offensive efficiency (the higher the better). Let's use HC as an example. HC played BU 6 times, so I multiplied BU's "add eff" of (8.55) by 6 to get (51.30). HV played Colgate @ +9.06 four times so 4 X 9.06 yields + 36.24. You get the idea. Then I divided the final number by the team's number of games. I did not take into account home versus road games. Here's what I came up with
Toughest Schedule (2.54)= American U (2.65)= Boston University (2.90)= Army (3.66)= Holy Cross (6.15)= Loyola (6,58)= Lehigh (7.44)= Navy (7.87)- Colgate (8.44)= Bucknell (9.01)= Lafayette Easiest Schedule
Of course this isn't perfect, e.g. I'd rather play against a +30 and a (8) and a (7) than against three +5's.-still a starting point for discussion

Well I would certainly expect BU's schedule to be right up near the top......they had to play Holy Cross 6 times!

Would AU playing only 9 games help this rank, Ky ?

Would AU playing only 9 games help this rank, Ky ? No--I divided by the number of games played so the figure you see is the average

Game times for the Patriot League Tournament are found on the Wiki link. The HC game against Loyola is at 7:00 PM en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_Patriot_League_Men%27s_Basketball_TournamentGame Time Matchup Score Television Attendance Quarterfinals – Wednesday, March 3 1 7:00 pm No. 10 Lehigh vs. No. 7 Boston University ESPN+ 2 7:00 pm No. 9 Loyola vs. No. 8 Holy Cross Quarterfinals – Saturday, March 6 1 7:00 pm No. 8/9 vs. No. 1 Navy ESPN+ 2 7:00 pm No. 7/10 vs. No. 2 Colgate 3 7:00 pm No. 6 Bucknell vs. No. 3 Lafayette 4 8:00 pm No. 5 American vs. No. 4 Army Semifinals – Wednesday, March 10 5 5:30 pm TBD vs. TBD CBSSN 6 7:30 pm TBD vs. TBD Championship – Sunday, March 14 7 12:00 pm TBD vs. TBD CBSSN Game times in ET. Rankings denote tournament seeding. All games hosted by higher-seeded team. To minimize overnight stays in a way that has little impact on the tourney, Lehigh should be playing Loyola with the winner going to Navy and HC and BU should be playing game 7 with the winner going to Colgate. Eliminating a lot of hours on the bus, perhaps with some windows open on what is shaping up as a frigid Tuesday, might not be a bad idea either.

I enjoyed it-- It was our military dump right across from Black Jack's stable- for the younger generation- the horse that carried many dignitaries including JFK
It reminded me of the Holy Cross Field House with stands- our team had a bunch of college and former college players- For sure I was not among that group! I watched Kermit play in that gym and he looked terrific- so the surroundings weren't a problem

If the four teams involved contacted each other and then contacted the league to request this it would be done easily. Maybe any one of the four college Presidents could get the other three to agree either as a professional courtesy or because the idea makes sense. But I'm not holding my breath.
