With portal / transfer season winding down I'm surprised we haven't added anyone and seem to be headed into 24-25 with 11 schollie (plus 1 walk-on) players. Thought we'd have some momentum coming off the great finish to the season but it seems the coach is concentrating on the incoming class for 2025.

Well, they didn't announce the signing of Wright until June. There are still plenty of unsigned '24 & portal players. At this point, for all we know they have commitments from additional players who have chosen not to post on X. I think tomorrow is the last day to submit a NLI for '24s, not sure how it works for transfers.

It is the last day to submit a formal NLI, but I assume you know that there is no deadline for a 2024 athlete to commit and for Holy Cross to commit to giving them scholarship money. And there really is no deadline for transfers. I know Bucknell has a few new incoming players in the pipeline, but there’s been no announcement and I don’t think there will be one for a while.

The significant portal news is we lose no undergraduates and we have one senior moving on to the Big East and the other senior in the portal expected to land in D-1. That's killing it in the portal and any upcoming signing is gravy.

notjuanjones had previously suggested that losing Lavin wasn't a huge hit, but we will see how it goes at her new school, Wish her luck Molly averaged 7 points and 5 rebounds last season. She's a good player. But just don't think she's a difference maker in any sense. We would be a middle of the pack PL team next season with or without her.

Hsu didn't attend college in 2020-2021 so not eligible for the 5th year. Well, not exactly. They didn't award an extra year for the Covid season, just didn't count 20-21 as one of the 4 seasons played. She played in 19-20, then in 21-22, 22-23 and 23-24. No, she didn't attend college in 2020-2021. Read The Athletic article on this topic and how her father (a doctor) was one of the first deaths due to COVID in the state of Florida.

Heard last evening from coach Magarity that Cara is headed to Drexel for her grad year - joining AU’s Molly Lavin there. CAA is a marginally better league than the PL - good luck to Cara Also, no landing spot so far for Janelle

Patriot League finished 28th and Holy Cross had the best NET at 186. The CAA had six teams ahead of Holy Cross last year.

Colgate picked up a rising junior transfer from Manhattan, Anne Bair 5'8" guard who averaged 9 pts/game incl 34 pct from three - seems to be a decent pickup to replace some of the scoring from graduating Alexa Brodie.

Self release and good pick up off the waiver wire by Colgate. Anna is comparable to our Simone Foreman with better shooting percentages including .836 from the line and better assist to turn-over ratio but way less rebounding. As All-Academic in the MAAC and a graduate of Gettysburg (PA) High School, she's likely a good orator, too.🙂

Watched Bair play many times—-not sure if HC pursued but if not it was a big mistake— they need backcourt help for 24/25 season.

Yes, Bair is definitely a good pickup for Colgate. Her brother, BTW, is an assistant for Penn State women’s team. Bair is an example of how slow the news sometimes is about women’s transfers. She committed to Colgate at least 17 days ago. Similarly, from what I hear, Bucknell has at least three new additions that have yet to be announced: two transfers and one freshman from Europe. I assume they are going to wait until they know everything is finalized before making any announcement about any of them.
