Hoping they implement a kid’s price for tickets. Very frustrating when you pay the same for kids as adults.

And as I posted previously in another thread, they partnered up with Jersey Mike's to sell kids under 12 a ticket for $50 good for every single HC athletic event (regular season, not playoffs likely due to NCAA or PL restrictions). That's a great deal to be able to get into all the football games, all the basketball games, men's and women's, and hockey too.

Last game I went to it was $20 a piece. Glad to it’s only $10 now.

Glad tickets are $10 now. Last time I went it was $20. Don’t mind paying that but at the time I wasn’t sure if my kid would last the whole game or one quarter. Made it to the 3rd quarter anyways.

That sounds great and kudos to Jersey Mike’s.

Do we need to "Show our papers" again like last year? What an outrageous policy for an outdoor event!!!

I know this sounds curmudgeonly, but one thing that will hold down attendance is our 21st century way of life.
10-15 years ago, pretty much every sports fan in central MA would have known HC was 2-0 and had an exciting win over Buffalo. They knew because they read it in the sports page of the newspaper. People don't read newspapers anymore. The only people who know HC is 2-0 are the ones who actively searched for that information. People in Worcester aren't going to be exited by a 2-0 start or even another home PL game because they're not even going to know about it - and that's because the vehicle by which they traditionally heard about it is practically obsolete. And there has been no practical replacement for it. There's no more good vehicle for getting the word out to people who aren't looking for it

I would have to say that is not a good assessment..... but respect your opinion. The way of communication and reaching fans/non Fans creating new fans is social media and HC is plasterd everywhere.... I'm sorry I'm just learning how to post or answer.... newbie....and new fan.

You guys do realize: the announced attendance could be 100 fans, and at least one poster will claim "there were no more than 78 in attendance".

Bought my ticket earlier this week for $15. It was easy enough for this Luddite to figure out, and I was pleased to see that there was no processing fee, unlike Princeton. Go Cross Go!

I admit that I'm not much of a social media guy and I don't fully understand how things get placed, but if I'm just some guy off the streets of Worcester and I have not actively sought out anything to do with HC by following or friending, how does HC's social media presence reach me. If I follow Ohio St (or a player ) on twitter, does HC have a way of knowing I like college football and live in Worcester and push their tweets on me even though I don't follow them. I know Facebook has some pretty wild targeting algorithms. If I google the Red Sox, Facebook news feed will start telling me stuff about the Sox So. . . . serious question - Is HC capable of putting things into people's social media who live in Worcester but don't follow HC athletics?

Yes. Look at the ads placed on your Crossports feed. My understanding is they will be different than mine and others based on what you Google and sites you visit. One point to back up your thesis however, is with no radio broadcast we don't get free promos on that station during the week. I have confidence social media is omnipresent and HC will spend on paid ads but we have a gap in accessing the game in real time for local people who won't spend $9.99 per month for ESPN+ and won't spend $15/20 at the gate, that used to be filled by free radio accessed over the air or on the net.

I just re-read your question. Actually my answer is possibly no, but if those people have any interest in sports and have accessed sports sites, HC can probably identify them and reach them depending on how many layers deep they want to spend on social media ads.

I know a lot of people who are feeling the buzz and will be attending. I’ll be coaching but could have gone except for the weird start time.

I actually like the 2:00 start time. All kids activities are done and free to get to the game on time.

Parking passes on baseball field are sold out. Ho Jo’s close to sold out. Idea of the numbers at the game. If you plan on tailgating get there early. I have a buddy starting at 10am for a 2pm game. Hope they see the game 😂😂

The 2:00 kickoff will help with attendance. Saturday morning activities / errands are done.
We’d reach 15,000 if Yale traveled well, but I recall they don’t.
