Any predictions on total and student attendance ? Don't have one but HC will need to put the Georgetown win behind them quickly and focus on Sacred Heart. This game looks to be very far from a gimme not that HC is in any position to look at any game as such. I am confident the staff will have the team focused on the Pioneers by tomorrow.

The guys have never been in this kind of a situation before, so it will be a challenge for the coaches to get them focused on SH. Would be really nice to have a 2-1 record going down to Winthrop. I hope whoever does show up Tuesday will get engaged and make some noise.

Massey has HC favored by 2 (54-52) with a 54% chance for the win. That is a virtual toss-up with the edge going to HC bacause of home court.

SHU killed Sarah Lawrence by 40+ in their opener and lost a close 88-81 game to Iona.

A great win and a nice step forward. Imho the team will need another 6-8 games before we can expect a consistent level of play while improving each week and confidence grows

I'd love to see 2,000 at the game. And I'd love to see a lot of students there!

I know I sound like a broken record, but somehow the city of Worcester needs to know there has been a Big East win and exciting things are happening in town. Hart isn't getting to 2000 by preaching to the choir. I don't know how to do that

At Cooley's presser I got the feeling GU's Athletic Dept. went all out to get students to the game and everyone was aware of and appreciative of it. They harnessed (seeded?) enthusiasm for a new successful coach after a multi-year collapse under a previous coach. HC Athletics/promotions, the ball is in your court.

Going into the SHU game KenPom has HC ranked at #309, our best ranking since we were at #307 to #309 in first four weeks of the 2019-2020 season. With a win over SHU we might break out of the 300's for the first time since the Carmody years. I like our chances

Their announced attendance, 7,500, means there were 12,500 empty seats. Do they tarp off the upper level?

If you want to increase attendance, you need to upgrade the schedule. As a long term season ticket holder I still go to the games. My friends stopped many years ago because they do not like the Patriot League and they would rather stay home and watch top teams on ESPN every night. The home schedule has to be improved.

We had far better attendance during the RW years, in the PL. Were there many attractive non league home games then ?

The home schedule was no better during the Willard era than it is now. The difference is that those Willard teams could play with anyone in the country as evidenced by the NCAA tourney games against Kansas, Kentucky and Marquette. He was an amazing coach. It was a winning program.

We spoke with the coach the other night about scheduling. The gist I got from the conversation was that it is harder than ever for low majors to get quality teams to come to their barn.

I'm surprised Galette isn't starting for them. At least one publication (Lindy's) has him as preseason POY in the NEC. I expect this to be a very tough game.

There probably will be very few easy games. We may outcoach other teams, but our lack of front court size will be a hindrance most nights, Gtown being the exception.
