Ugly loss with the backup goalie going in giving up 11 goals with zero saves in the second half.

Halftime score was a respectable 6-4. Does anyone know why the sr. Goalie, Friers, was pulled and didn’t play the rest of the game

Sounds like there's a story here. Why pull the goalie after trailing by only two at halftime?
Regardless, we can just about pencil in either a 3-10 or 2-11 season. It will be three straight seasons without a PL win.

I understand the scholarship talk, I do, but it seems like that is more of a band-aid.
The kids on the roster don't have time to wait around for things to get "normal", and have the funding in place. Now that the COVID fifth year is gone too, it's 4 years and done.
On top of that, we have to understand that this team was 'competitive' before, without the scholarships. They were winning in unconventional ways, because they weren't trying to be Loyola. The "work with what you have" mentality was evident in the way they won games.
The scorelines in the late 2010s were along the lines of [5-4, 8-6, etc.] with a top 10 defense in scoring/caused turnovers. Obviously, under Lattimore, it wasn't a fit, but the philosophy of beating teams with a particular pace/scheme holds true when there is a talent gap (look at BU the past 4 years and now Colgate, who is on the rise).
The same way Georgia Tech/Navy football can hang with any team because of the triple option, there is a way to make teams prepare differently for you over 5 days to throw them off. I'm not saying the magic is all in the scheme, or that the scheme is faulty now, but you can't beat Army by trying to be Army. Is some "gimmick" ride or defense the answer? Maybe not 10 goals worth, but an additional scholarship isn't the end all be all either. Something to think about

11-1 BU and it’s not even halftime…”another long season” is getting old here. Unacceptable.

22-6.
Regardless of what happens the rest of the way, we’ve combined to equal our win total from the last two years…at two.

Perhaps a few sports need an Nil since we don't have the scholarships necessary to compete and the CAF is proving not to be enough to significantly transform those programs

Depressing to see these results, the program has great support from alums and parents. They deserve a lot better. BU is a fully funded program and just beat Army. But we need to be more competitive.

At Lehigh tomorrow, who are coming off matching 12-10 losses to Princeton and Loyola.
This looks like another game where we are doubled up.

The Mountain Hawks were leading Princeton 8-5 early in the 2nd half on Tuesday night, before a furious rally by the Tigers. So yes this is likely to be another bad loss for HC.

5-5 midway through the third. Lehigh will be a man up for a minute after they scored due to bad HC penalty

Lost 9-7. Seemed to lose focus in second half. No moral victories but based on what we knew about Lehigh going in, not a horrible loss.

Army was no.1 in the country three weeks ago and now in 4th place in the PL after losses to BU and yday to Colgate at home. Navy also ahead of them now in the standings.
