The level of gracious competitive camaraderie, hospitality and friendly banter displayed by South Dakotans broadly speaking and Jack Rabbit faithful specifically was noticeable and refreshing.
The Jack Rabbit fan carrying the skin of a coyote as I presume a lucky charm of sorts made a strong and lasting impression.

2022 Holy Cross Crusader Football: a spectacular campaign in the midst of an ongoing Mission committed to excellence in winning on and off the field.
The last two days in South Dakota were filled with a level of pride for Alma Mater unlike any other I have experienced. That pride also left all those on the field, sidelines and in attendance wanting more and knowing that the brass ring is oh so close.
Truly great and honored days to be a Crusader.
LET’S WIN . . . !!

In regard our fellow alumnus, I’ll leave it at this
. . . . .
In regard to the quote in the article about “safe and effective vaccines”, any reasonable reading and review on this topic without any political bent would negate that assessment in spades.

Sports are great but is there really anything that matches the anticipation and excitement of a college athletic event such as this game between Holy Cross and South Dakota State. The opportunity to support one’s school — whether attending the game or not — and the true student-athletes competing for Alma Mater is in my opinion unmatched in todays marketplace. Think of the friends who will gather to watch the game together. Think of others who will speak who may not have connected in a while. In a world that is filled with madness and mayhem to the point of chaos, football of the sort played by our Crusaders and the outstanding SDSU team is simply the best. So proud of our Crusaders. Looking forward to venturing out to the Badlands and Black Hills of South Dakota to take on and hopefully take down Goliath. Let’s Win!! #America #Commitment #Excellence Awesome post…up until the “Badlands and Black Hills” part. HC would need to take anoher flight to get there(350+ miles from Brookings) 😁. It’s all rolling prairie and farmland in is this area. Still beautiful but a 6 hour road trip from the beauty that is the Black Hills and such. But it is part of SD and we proudly embrace it. Econ Major here and missed out on Geography class. 😬 😉
So in thinking this through and based on your inputs, if the Bobcats of Montana State take down William and Mary on Friday night, what you’re laying out here is that we will either be flying over or driving through the Badlands and Black Hills on our way to Bozeman. 😎
God Bless America 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
LET’S WIN !!

Holy Cross is hot.
In speaking with a HCFB parent yesterday who was at a corporate event in Florida, he shared that he was staying in the same hotel as the Milwaukee Bucks who were in town for a game.
This individual sees members of the Bucks in the dining room including Pat Connaughton. He goes over to say hello given that Pat is a grad of St. John’s Prep in Danvers where his son a current Crusader went to high school.
After exchanging some initial pleasantries, what is the first thing Pat brings up?
“Hey, how about that Holy Cross Football team. Wow!!
No substitute for winning especially as a byproduct of a true commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

SDSU physicality & intensity will be of a different order. Knowing the mentality of our Crusaders, the staff and team fully embrace the mission in regard to committing to excellence in winning both on and off the field. The results clearly speak for themselves. Within that mission is the mantra, “we don’t take a back seat to anybody.” LET’S WIN !!

My grandfather, a Boston College grad Class of 1914 and as I have been told the first Irish Catholic to be admitted and graduate from Harvard Law -- stated with all due humility --, was a prosecuting attorney in one of the cases relating to the Cocoanut Grove.
Changes to the fire codes for establishments of this sort came out of this case.
In his closing argument, my grandfather recited many passages of Dante's Inferno.
"Serious' students in our midst may care to skim or further review the City of Boston Fire Department Report by Fire Commissioner William Arthur Reilly. This report is filled with voluminous details, floor plans, and chilling photographs.

Some here may remember BC offensive lineman Steve Lively from the early 80s.
Lively maintains the current dumpster fire that is BC Athletics goes back 10+ years during the tenure of BC AD Gene Defilippo. Lively has absolutely no love for Defilippo and leaves little to interpretation in the letter he includes herein.

Nice 30+ minute video interview with current freshman Crusader Daniel ‘Boobie’ Santiago on a show with a hometown host from Utica, NY.
Boobie provides interesting insights into his experience as a freshman at Holy Cross, the culture around the program, and a whole lot more. Very well spoken young man.
