On the women's side, you almost have no guarantee when signing a big at our level. Often just as many misses as hits. If they can find a big in the portal or an unsigned HS 24, it is worth the risk as much for the following year this upcoming season. Frequently need a year to adjust to D1

Where is coach M ?? Our 24-25 roster shows 11 schollie players and one walkon (Griffin) from a team losing 4 starters - Absolutely disappointing with the silence - Let's hope they're working quietly behind the scenes to grab an impact player from the portal. The momentum from the fantastic finish to the 23-24 season will dissipate quickly if we don't take advantage of it NOW Just out of curiosity, what are you expecting. Not aware of HC ever posting about a commit, only after signing. The Wright transfer wasn't posted until June. So, until a kid posts a commitment, were are unlikely to know. I hope they add at least one or 2 more, but ....

Her sophmore stats were a bit better where she started 12 games. Whether she helps immediately is TBD, but size never hurts

Many HC fans will remember that Shoniker was the #1 reason why Avery LaBarbera committed to Canisius. Then when Canisius fired their head coach, with Shoniker being collateral damage, LaBarbera decommitted. Other than Callie Wright who signed in early June, latest commit we every had. crossports.freeforums.net/thread/2569/avery-labarbera-2018-recruit

Politicians are outraged at Caitlin Clark's low $76K starting salary in the WNBA. I don't feel any outrage as it's a collectively bargained union contract. ... and she is getting big payday from Nike, it's been reported. No question she'll increase the bargaining power of their players' association next time around. Perhaps, but they will need to generate a whole lot more eyeballs to see a significant increase in pay. It's unlikely, but CC could be a bust or get an injury. I'm not convinced that the burst of NCAA interest translates into interest in the WNBA. I'm not ure that it has ever made a profit in it's 27 year history.

Didn't see much playing time, but had a very good HS career & played for a very good AAU program, the Maine Firecrackers. Could help fill a void at PG.

I am intrigued to hear of the interest that BPC is getting for her grad year - what level do you think she will be suited for ? I was very surprised to see Columbia's Abby Hsu be drafted (late in 3rd round) by the NY Liberty - I had assumed she would have been in the portal for her 5th year (just like the other Ivy POY Kaitlin Chen from Princeton is We know WNBA rosters are short (11 players) and there's never room for 3rd rounders (just ask Lauren Manis) Great question, I suspect she would fit in very nicely on some good Mid-Major roster or on a lower half team in a Power conference. I think academics are very important to her, so won't be surprised if the Grad program field she wants to pursue will drive her decision in large part.

Not certain, but I believe you can only remove a tenured facility member due to cause or eliminating the program or I guess under extreme financial circumstances.

Bucknell's Emma Theodorsson commits to Loyola Chicago - hate to see these types of losses for the PL Will be interesting how well her game translates to the A-10. I wonder if we will ever get the story behind the story on why so many of BU best have bailed the last couple of seasons.
