If the voting were held today, Andrew Kostecka would be a strong contender for PoY. Leads the PL in scoring (22.3), and gets to the line more than any other player in the conference (5.8 FTA/G). Leads in efficiency rating, usaged percentage, both offensive and defensive win shares, and is second in steals.

Kostecka had two big games versus HC last season scoring 29 then 26 points. He went 14-21 on twos, 6-12 on threes, and 9-9 from the line. 11 rebounds and 6 steals rounded out his stats.

If the pros can play a box and 1 on James Harden, could it happen in the PL with Kostecka ? Wonder if we practiced for that possibility ? Some-many coaches are reluctant to let one offensive star beat them.

Would think Pridgen is the only defender who would have a chance to defend Kostecka in a box and one scenario, don't know if we can risk the chance of foul problems or wearing him out on defensive end when he's the number one option on offense now.

Loyola’s offense is good enough and more than just Kostecka that playing that sort of defense wouldn’t be smart, IMO.

Holy Cross had its best defensive rebounding performance vs. a D1 opponent this season in the Siena game (82%). Loyola isn't very big or strong on the boards, so hopefully we should do well in that phase of the game tonight.

Loyola isn't very big or strong on the boards, so hopefully we should do well in that phase of the game tonight. In our five best defensive rebounding games we lost by 3, 12, 8, & 4 points and had our 4 point win In our five worst defensive rebounding games we lost by 21, 22, 18, 24, and 57 points I'm detecting a correlation between defensive rebounding and overall results

Lowder not mentioned at all in the pre-game. The silence speaks volumes.

I'm having difficult time believing it's taking Lowder this long to catch on
