The A10 is way above the level of the PL. It will be very interesting to see how Luc does as a Bonnie. He's 5'9". He does not have PG instincts or dribbling skills. He's much too small for an A10 2G.
Agree about the pg instincts. Disagree about the dribble skills. Doubt he will play any 2 guard for the Bonnies, especially on defense.

Believe the story went at the time, true or not, that Sean’s contract was such that any related job that he took that salary would reduce the HC payout. That’s why he was in no hurry to get another coaching job. That and who would hire him after being axed after one season? At what point did he do color commentary? Again from memory, thought Milan picked up an assistant job very quickly. Having left HC after multiple years and a modicum of success, he wasn’t in the same boat as Sean. Basically correct and simple contract law Coach Kearney was under contract to Holy Cross, even though he was relieved of any responsibility. He wasn't coaching anywhere else while under contract to Holy Cross, because that would violate his contract and end payments. He didn't head to Colorado's basketball team until his contract ended. Sometimes both parties put in a buyout - either in the contract or negotiated at termination. The fact that Coach Brown immediately landed in Charleston, suggests that was the case. I ASSUME that HC paid less than his full salary for the year, because they would have had no other incentive to release him to coach in Charleston

I think that Luc is a rare talent who could have developed into a real star. We’ll see what the Bona coaches can do to capitalize on his gifts

School doesn’t have a ton of leverage as the coach can just do what Kearney did but most coaches will want to get back in the game and not have the resume gap.

Then whose basket would you out the eggs in ? The season is 6 months away. There are hundreds of guys in the transfer portal. There are also a bunch (number unknown) of unsigned high school players. Remember that guy Torey Thomas? Decent player, IMHO. He committed to HC on April 28th. And that was in the era of no transfer portal & no COVID impact on the recruiting circuit. Clock is ticking. June is in two weeks.

Time is ticking.
I think this was probably an anomaly, but Wade wasn't even in the portal at this time last year and he found a home. His recent tweets have led us to speculate that he was a walk on, but verbal commits thinks he was on scholarship at Central Michigan.
In this game of musical chairs, not a stretch to think the better players will find homes sooner. Mid tier guys with high hopes would then start grabbing back up plans as their preferred spot went to someone else. Then the dominos fall. I agree we're more likely to get the point guard of my dreams sooner than waiting until mid-summer

Wonder if Bubba will end up being a loser in this game of musical chairs.
Come to think of it, I don't believe Lowder has landed a D-1 gig yet either.
