I have an idea to make the game more interesting. Let’s have all the end of the bench guys, walk-ons included, be our starters. We’ll be able to see how they perform in real game situations, aka not garbage time, and have a sense of how much they’ll be able to contribute in games going forward. If the unthinkable (to me anyway ) happens and the game starts to slip away, we can then insert the usual starters and let them exert their expected dominance at a point when we really need it.

Not a bad idea but probably not going to happen if for no other reason that it might appear to be perceived as an affront to the Blazers. Don't think DP would want to embarrass the guests.

True, but would it be more embarrassing than if the regular starters jumped out to something like a 34-2 lead after the first 10 minutes?

Question: are infants and toddlers counted in attendance numbers? One of each here. About 35 humans here right now. Try not to get too excited.

Question: are infants and toddlers counted in attendance numbers? One of each here. About 35 humans here right now. Try not to get too excited. How does the atmosphere 1/2 hour before tip off compare to the 2003 PL final vs American 1/2 hour before tip-off? -------------------------- I have been vocal (aka whining) about these mid week afternoon games. I publicly mea culpa'd on this board after Harvard when I saw a respectable crowd on the replay and also heard the announcers discussing Christmas get-a-way plans. If things are that bad at Hart, maybe I will go back to whining. Worth remembering that announced attendance is PAID attendance.so people like me will be counted in that number

All joking aside, in my estimation, 500-600 people. Good turnout considering the opponent and timing. A lot of young people here obviously off from school.
P.S. My estimation is actual bodies, not Tom no-shows,

You may be right that it is more the early 80's throwback, but I was thinking of these from 1977-78.

You may be right that it is more the early 80's throwback, but I was thinking of these from 1977-78. Front Row: Mike Vicens, George Blaney, Chris Potter Second Row: Togo Palazzi, Leo Kane, Adrian Moody, Dave Mulquin, Bob Landes, Charlie Browne, Tom Seaman, John O’Connor, Garry Witts, Pete Beckenbach, Greg Gaskins, Ronnie Perry, Pat Padden, Jim Dougher Quite a roster…Went 20-7, lost in New England ECAC tournament and did not make the NIT or NCAA tournaments after a pre-season ranking in Top 25 nationally. As hc87 has pointed out, had a season similar to this year’s football team…pretty good record but disappointing vis-a-vis the previous year’s performance and pre-season expectations.

When they played a real strong northeast schedule. Top and bottom pics are from ‘76-‘77 when HC won the ECAC New England tournament and played Michigan in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Middle pic is from ‘77-‘78.
