I’m not so sure on this. Over 1,000 kids enter the portal. That trend won’t stop. Have to continue winning battles against CAA, MAC, FAU, FIU types.

I personally believe DE and CB are more of a focal point. OL are a little easier to come by versus guys who can rush the passer and cover in man to man.

He signed his letter of intent. The school and coaches already honored the commit when the kid signed so it's definitely his choice. It's a bigger loss because signing day is 2 weeks and 1 day away. Now the staff has to go and scramble for another OL.

I think they are looking at adding 2 more OL this class. Not sure how they view each player as a C/G vs. IOL. We know Rood is taking an OV to HC this weekend. Not sure on Dickey yet or another possible OL. Overall it looks like 5 OL in this class.

He visited Holy Cross in October but at the time HC didn't offer him.

I don’t believe any transfers are coming to Holy Cross. Classes start for the students on Monday. First team meeting is Tuesday Jan 23rd.

Forcucci has left HC. Heading back to Chicago. Great kid done with football. He's a good kid, not sure why he would leave?? Maybe he was on a partial and didn't see much of an opportunity to play. But, he was absolutely the second best QB left on the roster. No other Qb left on the roster saw 1st or 2nd team reps last year at anytime or are prepared to lead this team other than Joe P..... I think the Frosh Is QB they are recruiting will battle with Frattura and Jenkins. The growth for year 1 to year 2 - particularly at QB is massive.

Yah I’m with you on this Midwest. I’ve heard Smith was beyond impressed with the Denecke hire. Walsh and Monteiro are younger hires the same way Chesney gave Kennedy a chance. I’ve heard Brower is an excellent recruiter and a great fit culturally in a room that really needed it. Robbat has coached NFL caliber CB at Merr. Dresner put up monster numbers at Maine.
I have no idea how it will turn out but I’m damn impressed in a short time on the staff.
No to mention BV, Gunnell and Grautski. Consider me the first one who was skeptical with Smith as OC 2 years ago. Worked out ok.

He also has 413 - which is Western MA - essentially Springfield - where he coached at Springfield Central.
Schell has CT, TX, Philly Catholic.
Walsh has MI, IL, IN
Gunnell has OH - not sure what else
I’m sure Vaganek will have same spots - Northern NJ and Central FL
We know DMV will be covered well
Prob need to figure out PA, Carolina’s, Eastern MA
My guess is Dresner will stick with NY

In addition to DC, does Vaganek still have LB? Who has RB? Yes on Vaganek. No clue on RB - I know they are working on that now.

Bob rightfully thought the 31% football alumni participation rate for CAF/GC was a joke. It’s good to step out of the Crossports bubble at times and touch some grass fellas. This is the part that's more concerning than any comment by Bob. In fact it's embarrassing.
