Railers owner playing hardball and if you don't recognize it you're a naive fool. HC just needs to push back and not rollover. All this was predicted weeks ago on this board. That said, Nate Pine will get it done. Agreed. Wormtown: I think you're delusional to think the city is doing everything they can for HC. Believe me, Worcester hasn't been on Holy Cross' side in decades!

I know this has been posted before but the real hold up here is the city of Worcester. I believe HC is committed to HE (although the lack of investment in the rink is disturbing), they are making a big push. City politicians are bending over backwards for the Worcester Railers owner who wants nothing to do with a HE school at the DCU. City officials are on his side as he is making investments into the community. This would be a MASSIVE FAIL for the city of Worcester. Holy Cross has been around since before the civil war. The ECHL may not be there in 2-3 years!!! There is no reason why they cannot co-exist. Very disappointed in Worcester for not seeing the multi-year vision of a HC-HE partnership. SAD!.

WORCESTER, Mass. – Due to the inclement weather, the Premier Lot (Baseball Field) will be closed for this afternoon’s football game between Holy Cross and Lehigh. This will prevent any vehicles from causing damage to and/or getting stuck in the grass. Anyone with a pass for the Premier Lot will have several parking options for today.
Parking for the Purple Lot (Freshman Field) is currently scheduled to remain open, and all passes for the Premier Lot will be honored. Tailgating is permitted for anyone parking in the Purple Lot.
Pass holders for the Premier Lot will also be allowed into the Easy Access Lot (Parking Garage). Please note that tailgating is not permitted for those parking in the garage.
Other options for today’s game include street parking in the areas around Fitton Field, and the Hart Center Lots at the top of campus.

This was already mentioned in another post but I would like to echo the same praise to HC. A dramatic change was certainly felt as RSIG was MUCH better and much more respectful to alum from what I could see. Made a fantastic day that much better.

The Horror!!! WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross department of athletics has announced that Gordie Lockbaum bobblehead dolls will now be given away at the football game between the Crusaders and the Lehigh Mountain Hawks on Saturday, Oct. 22. The giveaway had originally been scheduled for the Oct. 15 contest with Harvard, but has been moved back one week due to an unforeseen shipping delay. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our loyal and passionate fans.
At the Oct. 22 game against Lehigh, the first 1,500 fans at Fitton Field will receive a free Gordie Lockbaum bobblehead doll. The bobbleheads will be available to fans as they enter the stadium at Gates A, B and D, beginning at 10:30 a.m. when gates open.
Tickets for both the Harvard and Lehigh games are still available by calling 1-844-GOCROSS or by visiting GoHolyCross.com/tickets. During the Oct. 15 game with Harvard, this year’s Ring of Honor induction ceremony will take place at halftime. The Oct. 22 contest against Lehigh will be part of Family Weekend, and will also see the members of the Holy Cross senior class honored prior to kickoff. Make sure you don’t miss either of these exciting match-ups!

I would not consider what was done to the basketball arena a renovation at all. Just get rid of the bleachers and put in a video board for crying out load. I honestly can't believe this was not part of so costly and otherwise comprehensive renovation of the Hart Center, especially as an effort to celebrate and capitalize on the recent achievement of the men's team. I think I get what you're trying to say but anyway....
I too had a punch list of items I wanted to see like an overhead scoreboard and rack lighting instead of the ceiling lights. However, overall I'm pleased with the elimination of ceiling-hung baskets, the entire reconstruction of and classy new floor, the new PA system, all the electrical upgrades, the new team meeting rooms, locker rooms, coaches offices and certainly the discarding of the gawd-awful wood bleachers with purple composit bleachers that are molded and pitched to be much easier on the tookiss. But yes, the building itself is small and up until the advent of the e the
Classy new floor? Not sure if it's classy or not but it's very ugly IMO. The dark wood and purple are awful!

I really hate to be a cynic here but other than a fresh coat of paint, new bleachers, and new court what has changed? Clearly capacity will be smaller now moving forward. No video board in middle, no "bowl like" seating. I'm sorry but this is what $90M did? (I know there were many other improvements but this seems disappointing, no?)

The product today was a total joke. We look like a HS team. Scholarships clearly have done nothing for this program. I like HCTG, he successfully brought HCFB back from the dead. However, this is the beginning of the end for him. We are just so bad at football it's pathetic. Also of note our good friends at RSIG security continue to harass alumni on baseball field. They literally wear combat boots with thier pants tucked in. ADNP: FIRE RSIG NOW! FB alumni who support the program were treated as if they were dogs. Change is needed at all levels on Fitton field. WE DESERVE BETTER (product and game day experience) GO CROSS GO.

Serious question - was the seal broken? I know at Fenway Park you're allowed to bring in bottled water or soda if the seal is intact but not if it's broken. I imagine the assumption is that if the seal is broken that you really don't know the contents of the bottle. It seems like a reasonable compromise No the seal wasn't broken. Regardless, it was ridiculous. I've had season tickets forever. My father has had his seats for over 60 years. This is the 2nd or 3rd year now that season ticket holders have to pay to park on the baseball field - which is fine but let's allow some flexibility! I'm over it today, just had to vent, but I'm hoping the athletic department and security can soften their stance somewhat. Just trying to figure out the rest of the season (or several games) w/out Pujals!!! +1 but I am not over it. They are like this EVERY HOME GAME. Will not renew season tickets until there is a change. Many more alum season ticket holders I spoke with will be doing the same.

Carlin96....THANK YOU for posting this. Glad I'm not the only one who cant stand the new RSIG "Security". I've been saying this on the board for the past 3 years and I think alum and donors have had it! Part of the main reason why I did not renew my 2016 season tickets. Hopefully this gets more attention and the RSIG company is promptly fired. The product stinks, at least let the folks who support the program enjoy the game day tailgates.

I just want to say I am a huge HC Football supporter and wish nothing but the best for the program. As a football donor and former season ticket holder I try to do all I can to support the team. I would love to see HC succeed in the future.
That being said, I am totally embarrassed by today's performance on and off the field. The best part of today was catching up with classmates and alum at the tailgate because the football product on the field absolutely stinks! We cant recruit, we are undersized and totally out coached. The end of the 1st half was a total nightmare and collapse. The security staff on the baseball field dress as if they are about to invade Poland and try to "bully" alumni and donors around and put on their "tough guy" attitude. This staff totally takes away from the game day experience because why would we go into the stadium and watch that embarrassment when we can catch up with alum. Cant even do that anymore. So glad I did not renew my season tickets for the first time in years to pay all those stupid fees for 1 less home game. WE DESERVE BETTER. I don't care about all your twitter, black helmets, new signs on the stadium, etc. It's all lipstick on a fat ugly pig and things need to change.
I wish HCFB nothing but the best and will continue to buy tickets at the door for the next 3 home games and NYC. But they are slowly losing my commitment, real change is not a new Fitton field poster or mascot. GO CROSS GO

still outrageous they are charging an extra $25 to season ticket holders and donors just for parking with 1 less home game. It's not the money it's the principal. Could be some supply and demand. I was a little tardy last year and was told there were no more parking passes available - they had maxed out what would fit on the baseball field. I made sure I was early this year ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For those who like post game hike up hills, I think Hart will be fine for most games. Things could be tight up there for Homecoming I attended every home game and parked on baseball field as a season ticket holder. It was NEVER filled last year (maybe at the start of the game for homecoming).

Don't they usually charge for off street parking anyway? It seems you had to pay to get into Freshman Field. I always parked at the Hart Center lot, but unlikely that will be available this year Not as a season ticket holder on the baseball field and a grid iron club donor.
