Early forecast calls for 40 degrees and sunny.

It would be interesting to come back to those stats and compare to the actual stats of the game... Only interesting if we win

If ADMB does not open the baseball field I will be really disappointed. Our usual crew has reached out to many friends and local alumni to come to the game and join our tailgate and go support the team, we will have BIG numbers. ADMB do the right thing!!! Biggest game in 10 years!

I will wager that the baseball will be closed.....FADNP once told me specifically that the decision regarding the field lies squarely with the facilities department and the athletic department had absolutely no say in the matter.

Predicted rain late Friday will make the decision easy and not the one most of us are hoping for

If that's the case, I don't see ADMB fighting to add another responsibility onto his shoulders.

All the PL has to do is revise a few rules in football to achieve parity with the CAA. Plus the number of schools = easier time making the playoffs and the OOC schedule is all the more interesting. Just my opinion. I can see it both ways. Sorry but the PL will never approach the CAA as to overall quality of play short of 2/3 of the CAA jumping to 1A. What if we changed it to the Big Patriot Football Conference and added the other 3 Big East football programs in addition to Georgetown (Villanova, UConn and Butler)? That would be a pretty good Northeast (+ Indiana) football conference and would solve UConn’s football problem in a realistic way.

It would only allow for two OOC games most years unless the Big Patriot Football Conference had a North and South Division or an East and West Division and each team only played two or three games per year against the other division. UConn is interesting. The State of CT. has two public D-1 Universities. One is soaring in FB while the other is plummeting.

We could always join the CAA. It would be interesting to see if another team like CCSU or a PL foe joined us. Maybe when JMU goes FBS. One can dream! I am sure we can come up with 10,000 reasons why TPTB at HC would never go for this

/\ The idea of which football team to admit to the CAA following the speculative departure of JMU is a subject of great discussion on CAA message boards (and has been for several years). There is a long line of teams who would want in (would be great if HC was in that speculative line and especially great if CAA wanted them.) As you note, it is nice to dream - CAA football and status quo in all the other sports is a nice combo IMHO.

I hope we submit a bid to the NCAA to have a home playoff game in case we win on Saturday.

I hope we submit a bid to the NCAA to have a home playoff game in case we win on Saturday. Is that how it works or is it by the highest ranked/rated conference/team ?

Pretty sure every team bids the minimum...whatever that is. Preference is then given to the higher seed with some look into potential ticket sales.

I hope for (and expect) the best. But, there is this nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach that something will happen to derail our trip to the playoffs and an overall winning season. Probably silly, but stranger things have happened...more than once over the years.

Probably silly, but stranger things have happened...more than once over the years. I feel 180-degrees opposite. I think we’re going to see the most complete home game of the season on Saturday. By the time the LC-LU game gets underway at 12:30, no one at Fitton will have any reason to be scoreboard checking. Where are we playing next weekend?

Probably silly, but stranger things have happened...more than once over the years. Couldn't agree more. For the past 25+ seasons we have been let down each time other than 2009. It's like we are always waiting for the bottom to fall out each and every year. "It's different this time" are 4 dangerous words and hope Bob Chesney breaks the mold!!! JUST WIN!

Those that are suggesting that the baseball outfield should be open (after light rain on Friday) will not feel very good when Austin Masel is hurt chasing after a fly ball on an uneven outfield turf. I trust ADMB and the grounds staff to make the right decision

If we win against Georgetown, we clinch the PLC no matter what?
If we lose, do we still share the PL Title? Will a loss still allow for an auto-bid?
Just curious.

With a win we are PL champs, no matter what else goes on. If we lose, HC gets no less than a share of the PL Championship...but it may not get HC into the playoffs(example, if Lafayette beats Lehigh).
