I second the architecture tour. There is also the "gangster" tour that our group found to be informative and "fun" in a dark sense.

Got to the pier...fun. Had Chicago Hot Dogs In Wriglyville...excellent. Tried what I was told was the best Chicago Deep Dish...very disappointing. For someone who likes thin crisp crust from Brooklyn, it was like a bowl of sauce and cheese - best eaten with spoon...even better avoided entirely if a real slice is available.

Did you go to Lou Malnati’s? The last time I was in Chicago, my daughter and I had an excellent deep dish pie at Giordano’s. There are several locations, we went to the one in the South Loop. Chicken, with onion, garlic and peppers. Had enough for lunch the next day. Looking at pictures now of the pie. Both my daughter and I were smiling from ear to ear. Can still smell the aroma. With a glass of Chianti, you are in heaven. 😊 Guess that is why Pizza is universally loved, so many styles depending upon taste.

There was a clear difference (for the better) dining at Uno's (and Due's across the street) versus the Mass. franchises.

St. Peter's playing spectacular half-court defense, up 37-33, under fourteen.
