Starting a thread fully understanding we have a big game against Mt. St. Vincent first but wanted to put out there, as I did in the football threads, that this game that is currently scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday may be moved to a later time because of the football playoff game against Sacred Heart.
I'm told they are in discussions about a time change with the decision to made jointly by Brett Nelson and the UNH head coach. Stay tuned.

Tom mentioned on another thread that UNH had requested a time change for a game a few years back (for the same reason), and I'm pretty certain he is correct (think I attended).

Someone mentioned playing it a week later, but Sat 12/4 is out for both parties.
The logical changes are either change the start time, but stay on Sat 11/27 or move it to Sun 11/28 or Mon 11/29.

Good decision. Doesn't impact any preparation for the game or make UNH's return trip occur at an unreasonable hour.

TPTB dodge a bullet but they must not rest easy as our sleuths are no doubt already looking for other potential transgressions

There was a small element of institutional self-interest involved.
Having had a discussion earlier in the day with the Holy Cross "ticket master" (as opposed to "Ticket Master"), Ryan Schmidt, he couldn't be in two places at once and a strain on his companions. Perhaps more importantly than that human element, while some wags think Nelson would like to have as few witnesses to his games as possible, Holy Cross recognizes that a number of its constituency would pass on the basketball game that was finishing up or over by the time the football game was concluding. By changing the time, there's a possibility that the attendance at the basketball game might actually increase for some marginal increase in revenue as fans migrate up from Fitton to the Hart Center.

Maybe but I wouldn’t bet on it. Hoops is pretty much off the radar right now.

People who park in the garage might walk up

There will be 500 people at the basketball game. Maybe 100 of them will have been at the football game. Not too worried about the migratory patterns of these rare birds.

I'm going to keep my eyes open for that free hot dog offer.
